*Mabel POV*
I feel a pillow hit my head. My eyes flutter open.
"C'mon, Mabel. We've got a road trip." Dipper smiles and I smile back at him.
"Hell yeah." Dipper leaves. "Today's the day, Waddles. You ready to see everyone??"
"Oik"
"I know!!" I decided to change into my shooting star sweater with a yellow skirt and matching headband. I must say, my style has changed a lot since going to high school. I've cut some of my old sweaters into crop tops and overall, I don't wear loud things anymore. I've kept the matching headbands and myself is the same, but I'm mature now.
"Mabel!!"
"Alright." I pack up my last few things, my chargers, ADHD meds, Waddle's favorite treats and run downstairs. "Let's go."
"Goodbye guys." Our dad hugs both of us, then our mom.
"Tell us when you get there."
"We will." We say together. The goodbye took about 10 minutes, they're really gonna miss us, and we'll miss them. I buckle waddles up in the back seat and I sit in the passenger seat. Dipper is insistent on driving even though I passed my test first try and it took him three. (He's not good at parallel parking) Dipper gets in the car and turns it on.
"You ready??" He says to me with a smile.
"Born ready." We high five and pull out of the driveway, where we start our journey back to Gravity Falls.
*Wendy POV*
"Mels, where's the duct tape?!?!" I'm sitting behind the desk at the mystery shack with Melody, counting cash in the register as Soos runs in, panting.
"It's in the office drawer, babe." Soos nods and runs over there.
"He's really stressed about the Pines coming back."
"I know. I don't get it. Guess there's pressure because of the shack."
"They haven't seen it all in a minute. Especially Dipper and Mabel. They haven't been back since you guys reopened it."
"True, sometimes I think he's more excited for the reunion than the wedding." Melody jokes.
"Nonsense, he was more stressed to propose. Honest."
"Reall-"
"I couldn't find it. Oh no. Today's all ruined, they're gonna think I'm a failure and hate me."
"Soos, no they won't. Stan is so proud of you." Melody says, trying to calm her fiance down.
"And they're here for the wedding, not the shack."
"I guess, I just want Mr. Pines to be proud."
"Unless you've committed tax fraud, Stanley's not proud of anyone." We all turn to see the old pines twins. They look the same.
"Stan and Ford!!" We all run up and hug them.
"Hear business is booming, Soos??"
"Yep."
"We're making 50% more profit than when you were last here."
"That's what I like to hear. And Wendy."
"Hey Mr. Pines." I give him a big hug.
"How's my favorite gi- I mean person??" I came out as non-binary to Stan about 6 months ago. I was nervous to tell him, since my family were all dicks who disowned me over it, but he was supportive. He doesn't really understand it, but Ford's been teaching him since he visited more progressive places during his travels. But he's trying. I know he is.
"I'm doing great."
"Sorry, I'm still a little shaky on the pronoun thing."
"It's okay. You're trying, that's all I can ask for."
"I can confirm that he's been studying."
"Thanks Ford. I knew I could count on you getting this old geezer out of the 1900's." We laugh as we hear a car door slam.
"Is that??"
"It has to be." We all run out and see two of our favorite people stretching out of the car. Dipper and Mable Pines. The two who changed so much 3 years ago, and have apparently changed a lot themselves since then.
"Hey guys!!" I yell, getting their attention. They smile and sprint to all of us. They first hug their uncles, who can't get over how much older they look, and honestly, neither can I. They then go to Soos and Melody, which Soos was crying, by the way. And then, I get a classic Mabel hug.
"I've missed you Wendy."
"Me too. I like the short hair. It suits you."
"Thanks. I'm loving the half shaved look."
"Thanks. It's nice in the summer."
"I bet." We both laugh then I look at Dipper, one of my best friends in the entire world. He was the first person I came out to, and I've missed him so much.
"Hey Dip."
"Hey." We hugged.
"You're so tall."
"I know. Just kind of happened."
"Well, I got something for you." I run in and grab his hat, which he smiles at.
"Thanks Wendy." He puts it on his head.
"There's the Dipper we all know and love." Ford says.
"He's just stretched out now." We chuckle at the comment.
"Well I don't know about any of you, but I'm starving." Mabel stated.
"We should probably bring our stuff in first."
"Good idea." We all go and help them bring their stuff in.
*Mabel POV*
As I'm walking through the door to meet my family, I bump into someone.
"Oh, sorry." I make eye contact with the person I bump into. She was wearing a mystery shack shirt, jean shorts, a black choker around her neck and her red hair in two braids. Her blue eyes looked at me, nervously.
"Don't worry about it. I wasn't watching where I was going." she responded.
"I love your hair."
"Oh, thanks."
"Of course, I'm Mabel."
"Olive. I work here."
"Really, you know Soos and Melody??"
"Melody is actually my aunt."
"Oh, how fun. Hang on." I pull her arm outside. "Melody!! I met your niece!!"
"Haha, I see that." she responds.
"You wanna come out to eat with us??"
"No, I wouldn't want to impose."
"You wouldn't. C'mon." We walk towards the car. "Gang, this is Olive. Olive, this is my twin brother, Dipper, and my grunkles Stan and Ford." Her eyes widened.
"You're Stanford and Stanley Pines??"
"Yup."
"That's us."
"OMG I'm a huge fan. Wait...that means, you're Dipper and Mabel Pines. The mystery twins."
"Do people still call us that??" Dipper asked.
"They do. Especially Uncle Soos. It's great to put faces to the names."
"Well, you coming??" Wendy asked. Olive looked at all of us, very clearly on the fence. I gave her a nod and she smiled slightly.
"Sure, why not??" She hopped in our car and we all went to eat.
