*Dipper POV*

I'm trying really hard to write my best man speech for the wedding. Usually I have this done ahead of time, but school got overwhelming and I didn't have time. That doesn't excuse my procrastination. I honestly just don't know what to say. What is a 15 year old who's never been in love supposed to say?? Anything I write just sounds unauthentic and it's really starting to frustrate me. I decided that a nice can of Pit Cola will get my brain flowing. I grab it from the fridge and then head up to the attic. All of a sudden, I hear giggling from mine and Mabels room. I knocked.

"Who is it??" I hear my sister say.

"Dipper."

"Come in." I open the door to see Mabel in a nice dress and Pacifica on the bed. They both smile at me.

"Am I interrupting a fashion show??"

"Kind of." Mabel said sarcastically.

"What can we do for you, Dipper??"

"Well, I was just on my way to the fridge and I thought I'd offer to get you something." I don't know why I'm doing this, it just felt like the right thing to do, but I don't usually act this way.

"I'll take a water, if you don't mind." Pacifica said.

"Make that two."

"Got it." I leave the room

*Mabel POV*

I turn to Pacifica who's on her phone.

"He's changed, hasn't he??"

"Who, Dipper?? Yeah, I suppose."

"You know, he never acts like a gentleman back at home."

"Well, you're his sister. I imagine that makes a difference."

"Yeah, sister and future girlfriend are very different."

"What?? What do you mea-"

*Dipper POV*

"I'm back" I notice Pacifica jump as I walk in, so I decide to strike up a conversation. "So, is there a reason you're playing dress up??"

"Mabel wanted me to help her pick a dress for my birthday party in a couple days."

"Birthday party??" Pacifica turned to Mabel.

"You didn't tell him??"

"I forgot."

"Tell me what??"

"I'm having a big party for my birthday this Saturday. I technically invited both of you, but someone hogged the invite for herself." Mabel shrugged. "So, what do you say??"

"We're allowed at Northwest Manner??"

"My parents don't care at this point. They probably won't even remember who you are."

"Ouch."

"Don't feel bad. They remember no one. So you in??"

"I don't know. I don't really have any nice clothes."

"You didn't bring anything??"

"No Mabel, besides my tux for the wedding, I got nothing."

"Well, you don't have to dress up, Dipper. Your presence there is more than enough." Pacifica smiled, as did I. "But if you want, we could get you a suit."

"Oh no. I can't afford that."

"I can."

"I couldn't put you out like that."

"You're not. I have more money than I know what to do with. And consider it a welcome home present." We smile again. She's really sweet now.

"Well I'll come to the party, and I'll consider the suit thing."

"Yay!!" Pacifica runs up and hugs me. I stand there in shock until she awkwardly lets go. "Um, so, you'll let me know??"

"Yeah."

"You know where to find me."

"Right, okay. I'll let you guys get back to your night."

"Did you want to join us??"

"Nah, I've got a speech to finish."

"Okay." Mabel said.

"Goodnight Dipper."

"Goodnight." I shut the door and lean against it before I return upstairs.

*Mabel POV*

I change into my original outfit, when I notice Pacifica looking a bit out of it. I know exactly what's going on, but she clearly doesn't. I always knew they would be perfect for each other, and I think this summer's gonna prove that.
