"You have to take my place today for this wedding,"

Aahana's heartbeat completely dropped the second she heard those words coming out of Prerna's mouth. Her eyes rounded in pure shock. She couldn't believe what she was hearing right now. She wanted her to take her place for her wedding?

"What are you saying, di?" Aahana spoke, in utter disbelief because her mind had refused to believe what her ears had heard Prerna telling her to do.

"No, it's not what you are thinking, Aahana," Prerna uttered, seeing that horrified and shocked reaction on Aahana's face.

"You need to take my place just for an hour today and I will be back before you will get called in the pavilion for taking wedding vows," Aahana heard Prerna telling her but her words bewildered Aahana even more.

"I don't understand this, di?" Aahana said, making Prerna sigh. She extended her hand towards Aahana and clutched her palm.

"Aahana, I have a dream of becoming a supermodel and I have worked hard for it since my teenage years and today I am finally getting that opportunity," Prerna said to her and Aahana patiently listened to her, attempting to comprehend everything here.

"And it's not like Zayansh doesn't support this decision of mine. In fact, he has supported me a lot in making my career in the modelling world and today, I have a photoshoot and interview with a very big and famous international modelling agency which wants to sign me as their model but for that I need to meet their head manager today in an hour and give him some shots of mine personally," Prerna describe it to her.

"Then why don't you tell him about this? If he has no problem with your career decisions then I am sure he would understand you and your situation," Aahana replied back, finally understanding what was the matter here. Her words caused Prerna to breathe heavily again.

"I can't because Zayansh is a kind of a man who hates leniency and negligence towards his work and this day is extremely important to him. In fact, it's really very relevant to me too, so Zayansh would never appreciate this step of mine of going out for a shoot when our wedding is just in a couple of hours," Prerna explained to Aahana.

"I know he would accept my decision because he has never gone against my career decisions ever but I know it would hurt and I don't want to hurt him, especially at this big day of ours for which we both have waited for so many years, so please try to understand me, Aahana," Prerna uttered to her in a pleading tone and Aahana just heard her like a statue.

"Please, Aahana. I don't want to hurt him but I also don't want to let go of my dreams, please. Please help me. Only you can help me," Aahana swallowed hard, hearing her and then took back her hand from Prerna's hold.

"No, Prerna di. I can't. I am sorry," Aahana turned around and looked here and there in fear and nervousness because she could not even imagine the havoc it would bring if he would see her dressed up as his bride. No, this would wreck her very existence brutally. She could never risk it.

"Please, Aahana...." Prerna stepped forward to face Aahana again.

"I will be back in just an hour and there's still a couple of hours left for taking the wedding vows. I will be back before that time, please. You just need to wear my wedding clothes and stay here in this room till I don't come back from shooting. That's it," Prerna tried to convince Aahana who was still looking petrified at her idea.

Once again, Prerna gripped Aahana's hand firmly.

"I can't tell anyone else about this because I can't trust anyone but you, Aahana. Besides, you know there's very few people here, so please help me," Prerna practically begged her.
