"You are leaving behind something which is just made for you,"

Hearing those words of hers, he slowly twirled around and found her light brown eyes already on his with a certain kind of emotion in them which shook something inside him.

Zayansh saw her taking her steps in his direction and then she stood in front of him. Her eyes remained fastened with his.

"I have a belonging of yours which I do not wish to keep with me," Aahana uttered, confusing him more because he was thinking the total opposite of what she was referring here and that thought had paced up the beating of his heart somehow until he saw her extending her palm towards his direction.

Zayansh saw her opening her fist and then his gaze landed on that ring in her palm and not any other ring but his engagement ring which he thought he had lost and didn't even feel the necessity of trying to find it ever again because it was just a piece of jewelry for him. Nothing else but seeing it in her hold, something shuddered inside him vigorously.

"I know this might make you feel like I have stolen it from you or I am a thief because this ring might be worth a lot but I can assure you that I have done no such thing," Aahana said to him and he just stared at her in complete silence.

"I had found this ring on that road where we both had our very first encounter and yes, after finding it, I immediately understood that it is yours as I had heard your fiance's name from your mouth and I had also read her name in this ring, so I knew it that it is yours but I couldn't dare to give it to my papa so that he could hand it to you because I was afraid how you were going to behave with him after you would find your ring with him," Aahana told him the entire truth honestly and he patiently listened to her every word where he found no ounce of lies. This was the very first time she was talking to him normally and he was just hearing her.

"And whenever I met you I didn't have this ring with me because in our every encounter I was not aware that I am going to meet you but this time, I knew it that I was going to meet you here, so I thought about bringing your ring with me here, so that I could return it to you," she said to him and then sighed softly before taking her eyes down towards his ring.

"I apologize if this causes you any kind of inconvenience but kindly take your possession from me as I do not want anything of yours to be with me," she uttered and swallowed before taking her eyes slowly upward to look into his emerald eyes.

"Because I want this encounter of ours to be the last encounter of ours and after this, I do not want our paths to collide, even as a mistake, Mr Singhaniya," she spoke out those words to him which automatically made Zayansh dig his nails against his palms barbarically but this time, he didn't let his emotions to appear on his coldly blank face.

"Congratulations on your wedding. Hope your life would be filled with love, happiness and warmth," she uttered, lowering her eyes. Her words made him clench his jaw and he knew exactly why it was angering him so much but he knew he was not allowed to speak about it out loud and even she knew about this.

Slowly lifting his hand, he took his ring from her hand and then slightly pushed his face closer to her ear.

'Dua dil se di gayi qubool hoti hai kyuki sirf zuban se dua bhi baddua jesi lagti hai, Ms. Malhotra,'

"Only that blessing fulfilled which comes from heart because blessing feels like a curse when it's just encrusted with words, Ms. Malhotra," he rasped in her ear which made Aahana take her head upward.

She turned her head around and there their gazes collided which caused a throbbing pain to emerge inside her heart and they both didn't know how and why but at that same exact moment, the pain in her heart reflected all over his existence but they both knew they were not allowed to reveal it to anyone, neither in front of each other nor in front of even their own selves because it was utterly forbidden for them to even think, let alone wishing for it to be true.
