Melvin and I were at Baskin Robins. He offered to pay. So I was like hey, I'll go.
"It's always you to be order the most expensive things." he said as he paid for our ice cream.
"You know you'll spend anything on me."
"You ain't never lie." He said making me smile.
We sat at a table. I looked out the window. I noticed Don. He smiled at me. Until he saw Melvin. When he saw Melvin he looked away.
Melvin's phone rang. he looked at it. But ignored the call. "You're more important." he said smiling.
"Nah answer it. It could be important." I said eating a little bit of my ice cream.
He looked at me. "You sure?"
"Yeah."
He got up. "Excuse me." he said answering the phone.
When he left Don came up to the table. "So you couldn't wait?"
"For?" I asked.
"For me." He said. I glared at him. Then ate some more of my ice cream.
"I didn't know you wanted me to wait." I said as I saw my brother. "What is he doing here?" I asked.
Don looked. "Oh I was supposed to get our ice cream." He got up.
He was about to walk away but he bent down close to me. "Yeah. I wants you to wait. You're 16 while I'm 19. But then again, age ain't nothing but a number. But also the last digit in our ages go perfectly together. Maybe we could do it one day." he walked away just as Melvin came back. I didn't know what he meant by that. So I made a mental note to ask Megan.
"I don't mean to make this short, but I have to go." he said grabbing his ice cream.
"Is everything ok?" I asked.
He looked at me. He looked angry. "Yeah, don't worry about it." he said with an attitude. He walked out. Ok then.
I sat there for a couple of minutes before Don and Khaleed came up to me.
"What's wrong?" Khaleed asked.
"Nothing." I said.
"You can't lie." Khaleed said sipping his drink.
"How you know if I was lying or not?"
"You always look at something else besides the person your talking to." Din said.
I looked at him. "Nothing's wrong." I tired to keep my eyes on him but I ended up looking down at my ice cream.
"She's lying.." Don said taking some of my ice cream and eating it. I stared at him. He smirked.
"Nothing's wrong. Ok." I stood up to go but Don stood up and stopped me.
"It ok. Your cute when your mad anyways." he whispered in my ear.
"What you say to her?" Khaleed asked as I walked out the place.
That boy there. Got me going crazy. Whispering in my ear and stuff. Making me feel some type of way. A way I only felt with Melvin. But better. I got in my car and smiled. Don and Kayla. Hopefully that'll happen some day.
I was about to pull of when I saw Don coming outside. I had a feeling like I wanted to do comet hung crazy. I got the car and ran to him.
"Do you think you can do something for me?" I asked.
"Sure. Wassup."
"Do you think you can find someone to give me tattoos?"
"Yeah. But I need your parents consent." he said.
"Don't worry about them. It's my body."
"If that's how you feel. " he said as Khaleed came outside.
"Why y'all always talking to each other. I'm your friend and she's my sister. Y'all not supposed to talk to each other." he said walking to his car.
"Is tonight good?" He asked as he walked towards the car.
"Yeah. 7 ish." I said getting in my car and driving off.
