This will be quickly going over my opinions on the Death Battle matchups confirmed via the Kickstarter.

Wile E. Coyote vs Tom Cat (Looney Tunes vs Tom and Jerry)

This matchup won the Tournament of Champions so I feel I should go over this first. Personally as a fan of Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry I have some hype for this MU primarily because of two things, the first thing being the creativity for how much s*** these two have because of their long history in cartoons and secondly, the comedy, cause the idea of a Death Battle where the characters are hurting themselves more often than they harm each other sounds hilarious to me plus it'd also be funny if they actually fall for each other's traps causing the person to set the trap to be genuinely surprised that it actually worked and I feel it would be funny that no matter who wins that the person they chase be it Jerry or the Road Runner or both knock them out in the middle of them celebrating which would just be icing on the cake for me.

As for who wins I've heard arguments for both but I'm leaning towards Tom cause while he and Wile E have comparable durability Tom canonically has 9 lives meaning Wile E would need to off Tom 9 times while Tom only has to do it once giving Tom more chances to succeed, also Tom can be successful in his endeavours as there are multiple times even in the original series where Jerry would've been dead to rights if not for some outside force coming into play and while Coyote has had a few moments like that before more often than that he's made into an ass, couple that with Tom being more physical and violent than Wile E and it seems to me that the Coyote's in the body bag here. Of course that's if you don't scale Wile E to the likes of Bugs and Daffy which to my knowledge there isn't really any evidence to suggest that so for now I'd say Tom wins but who knows.

Kratos vs Asura (God Of War vs Asura's Wrath)

From the winner to the runner up we got the matchup that while it got the silver medal still got its place in an actual episode. Personally while I do like GOW I'm not that big into the matchup though that doesn't mean that this episode isn't going to be fire, seeing it start out as a simple fisticuffs to then go cosmic in scale with Asura going into his giant form, probably giving us something similar to the Wyzen boss fight from his game as Kratos unleashes his spartan rage to fight against Asura it'd be hype as f***, plus DevilArtemis is animating it and that guy is a 5 star chef in the kitchen so I know it'll be cool (as I am ignoring the existence of Jason Vorheese vs Micheal Myers as that animation is dead to me) and from the teaser it seems we might get a more story oriented animation which isn't that bad so long as there's more fighting in it than Jason vs Michael than I'll be satisfied. Also this might just be me but if the ending has one of them on the brink of death with their last words being for the winner to take care of their child with the winner agreeing as they hold the loser's dying body in their arms would be an emotional chef's kiss for me.

As for who wins I'd have to say Kratos, mainly cause he has multiple statements and feats placing him at Multiversal and Infinite speed and while there are some feats that can get Asura to that level as well they aren't as consistent or viable from the videos I've seen of people discussing this MU, and even then Kratos has a bunch of weapons which he can use at close and long range including stuff for defence giving him more versatility than Asura at least to my knowledge, Asura won't go down without a fight sure but I feel that eventually Kratos's arsenal would do him in, especially if Kratos pulls out Medusa's head since I don't think Asura has a resistance to petrification.

Omni Man vs Bardock (Image Comics vs Dragon Ball)

This was certainly a surprise for me and likely many others when the Kickstarter was announced but it sure was a welcomed one from what people have been saying, sure it hasn't been that long since Omni Man was on the show but with Season 2 of the Invincible show being done and the fact that they didn't focus that much on Omni Man's story in the comics in his previous episode I don't really think its much of an issue and besides this is the Omni Man episode I wanted and while Omni Man vs Homelander was a good episode for what it is, being a episode with an obvious winner which Death Battle played into and told a story around it but this matchup provides a more thorough analysis for Omni Man, is more thematic and could have an interesting fight dynamic despite Omni Man being a flying brick and Bardock not having that many Ki attacks plus it could be brutal as f*** which is always a plus in my books.
