I am sitting in Central Park. I have been so out of it lately, mainly because I was tho king of Sam Wilson. He was my brother's best friend and my best friend. Steve, my brother had figured it out as he noticed the way that I look at him. He confronted me about it a few weeks ago. He encouraged me to tell Sam about my feelings, but I obviously said no since it would ruin everything.

I pick a daisy from the ground. I start picking off the pedals saying.

"He loves me, he loves me not."

I keep repeating this until I get to the last pedal.

"He loves me," I whisper. "Bullshit you stupid lying flower, there's no way," I say dropping the flower on the ground.

"How's it going?" Steve asks me.

"Just great," I sigh.

"What's wrong?" He asks.

"This stupid flower is lying to me," I say.

"How so?" He asked.

"Yeah, how so? Are you in love with someone?" Sam asks from behind him.

"No... I'm not!" I exclaim trying to drop the subject.

"Mhm," Steve says.

"Steve shut up!" I exclaim.

"Okay, okay," He says while they walk away.

Sam's POV:

"What was that about?" I ask him.

"She is so in love with someone," Steve says.

"Who?" I ask.

The thing is Steve doesn't know about my crush on Y/N.

"Someone, she tells me about them all the time," Steve says.

"Well why hasn't she mentioned them in front of me?" I ask.

"Because I am her brother, and she doesn't want you to know about them," Steve says.

"Well, I am pretty offended that she told you and not me too man," I joke.

"Well, I am her favorite," Steve chuckles.

"I'm going to get it out of her, I wanna know who he is," I say.

"Yeah, good luck with that," Steve says.

——————-

I sit in my room, laying down in my bed. I can't stop thinking about Sam. What if Steve told Sam that I like him.

I hear a knock on my door.

"Come in," I say not wanting to get up.

Sam opens the door.

"Oh hey Sam," I say sitting up and fixing my hair a bit.

"So..." He says.

"So..." I copy.

"Who is this mystery man?" He asks.

"Oh I'm not going to tell you," I say.

"Oh come on," He groans.

"Nope," I say.

"Well you could at least tell me about him," He says.

I think about it. Maybe I can without giving away that it's him.

"Okay fine. Well he is quite handsome I would have to say. He is also smart, charming, and to say incredibly hilarious, the coolest person I've ever met, he is tough, kind when he needs to be, caring also pretty creative in his own way," I say, rambling about Sam.

"Can I at least have a name? You told Steve and you didn't tell me, I'm pretty offended," He says.

"Well Steve is my brother," I say.

"That's exactly what he said," Sam says.

"Figures."

"Well who is he? Please tell me," He says dragging out the please.

I don't even think before I tell him.

"You," I whisper.

My face turns red as I realized what I said.

"It's me?" He asks.

"Yeah..." I sheepishly say.

"Well... I like you too Y/N, and I have for a while," He says standing up and walks over to where I am sitting.

His hand cups my cheek.

"I guess the flower didn't lie," I say just above a whisper.

"Can I kiss you?" Sam asks.

"You don't have to ask me twice," I say.

Sam leans down and kisses me. It starts to get a little heated before we hear my door open. We quickly separate to see Steve standing there.

"Really man? You didn't tell me," Steve says.

"I figured you would run your mouth," Sam shrugs.

Steve leaves the room and me and Sam laugh.
