As the days passed, the courtroom drama continued to unfold. The defense team worked diligently to present additional witnesses who could provide critical testimony and support Bernadette's case. Each witness added new dimensions to the defense's argument, aiming to counteract the claims made against her.

Atty. Santos: addressing the court "We present our next witness, who will testify to the character of Mrs. Bernadette Lacuesta-Cuevas and the circumstances that should be taken into account in this case."

The courtroom was tense as each witness took the stand, sharing their insights and experiences. The defense team's strategy was clear: to paint a fuller picture of Bernadette's situation and challenge the narrative put forth by the prosecution.

After presentations, arguments, and deliberations, the case was finally submitted for decision. The judge announced a brief recess before making a ruling, giving the courtroom a moment to breathe and reflect on the intense proceedings.

Judge: addressing the court "The case will now be submitted for decision. We will reconvene on the scheduled day of promulgation to deliver the verdict."

As the courtroom cleared,Atyty. Santos,  Dr. Alexander and Bernadette left the building, their expressions a mix of hope and anxiety. The waiting period was filled with uncertainty, and both were keenly aware of the gravity of the situation.

Bernadette: to Dr. Alexander "I've done everything I can. Now, it's just a matter of waiting. It feels like such a heavy weight."

Dr. Alexander: placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder "You've been strong throughout this whole process. Whatever happens, we'll face it together."

Bernadette: looking out at the sunset "It's strange how quickly life can change. Just a few days ago, we were enjoying the Maldives, and now we're waiting for a verdict that will affect everything."

Dr. Alexander: joining her by the window "I know. But remember, we've made it through so much already. This is just another challenge we have to face."

Bernadette: sighing "I keep thinking about what the future holds. I've been so focused on this case that I haven't really thought about what comes next. Do you think everything will work out?"

Dr. Alexander: smiling reassuringly "I believe in the strength of your case and the hard work we've put into it. Regardless of the outcome, we'll figure things out. And we have each other."

Bernadette: nodding "I appreciate that. It's comforting to know that I'm not facing this alone. It makes the waiting a little easier."

Dr. Alexander: gently "Why don't we take this time to focus on the positive aspects of our lives? We can start planning for the future, think about new projects, or even just enjoy the simple moments together."

Bernadette: smiling softly "That sounds like a good idea. I've always wanted to start that art therapy program I talked about. Maybe now's the time to dive into that."

Dr. Alexander: encouragingly "That's a wonderful idea. It's a way to channel your energy into something positive and fulfilling. And it will give us something to look forward to, regardless of the verdict."

Bernadette: gratefully "Thank you for being so supportive. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Dr. Alexander: squeezing her hand "You'd be just fine. But I'm glad to be here with you. Let's make the most of this time and keep moving forward. We'll get through this together."
