One day, Bernadette received a call from Atty. Santos's law office informed her that a letter from the Court had arrived. She and Dr. Alexander went to Atty. Santos's office to retrieve and review it.

At Attorney Santos's Office...

Bernadette and Dr. Alexander enter Atty. Santos's law office was greeted by the warm, professional atmosphere of the space. The office is neatly organized, with shelves of legal books lining the walls and a large mahogany desk in the center. Atty. Santos, a composed and empathetic lawyer, stands behind his desk, holding a letter.

Atty. Santos: offering a reassuring smile "Bernadette, Dr. Alexander. Please, have a seat."

They sit across from Atty. Santos, who places the letter on the desk. Bernadette looks at it with a mixture of apprehension and hope.

Atty. Santos: gesturing to the letter "The Court's decision on your annulment case has arrived. I know this has been a long and emotional process for you."

Bernadette: nodding, her voice steady but anxious "Yes, I'm eager to hear the decision."

Atty. Santos: opening the letter and scanning the contents "The Court has granted the annulment. The ruling states that the marriage between Bernadette Lacuesta-Cuevas and Maxim Cuevas is annulled, effective immediately. The decision was based on the findings of emotional, mental, and psychological incapacity."

Bernadette: taking a deep breath, absorbing the news "So, it's finally over. Our marriage is officially annulled."

Atty. Santos: nodding "Yes, that's correct. The ruling means that the marriage is legally considered void, and you are no longer bound by it. It's a significant step, and I hope it brings you some closure and peace."

Dr. Alexander: placing a reassuring hand on Bernadette's "This is a major milestone, Bernadette. It's the end of one chapter, but it's also the beginning of a new one."

Bernadette: looking up at Atty. Santos "Thank you for all your help and support through this process. I know it hasn't been easy."

Atty. Santos: smiling "It's been a privilege to assist you. If you have any questions or need further assistance as you move forward, don't hesitate to reach out."

Bernadette: with a grateful smile "I appreciate that. I think I just need some time to process everything."

Dr. Alexander: gently "We'll take it one step at a time. You don't have to go through this alone."

As they prepare to leave, Atty. Santos hands Bernadette a copy of the ruling. Bernadette takes it with a mix of relief and contemplation, her eyes reflecting the emotional weight of the moment.

Atty. Santos: as they exit "Remember, the end of this chapter is an opportunity for a fresh start. Take care, and best of luck with everything ahead."

Bernadette: turning to Dr. Alexander "Let's go for a walk. I think I need some time to clear my head."

Dr. Alexander: nodding "Of course. We'll take it slow and find a quiet place to talk."

As they leave the law office and step out into the sunlight, Bernadette and Dr. Alexander walk together in contemplative silence, the weight of the annulment decision gradually settling in as they prepare to face the future.
