As the final fitting for Bernadette's gown and Alexander's tuxedo was underway, the atmosphere in Victoria's boutique was filled with excitement and anticipation. Victoria, the talented designer and shop owner, moved around with grace, adjusting the delicate fabric of Bernadette's gown and ensuring every detail was perfect. She was thrilled to be part of such a special moment for the couple.

Suddenly, the pleasant ambiance was disrupted when a client, flipping through the gown catalogue, glanced up and recognized Bernadette. Her eyes narrowed, and a sneer spread across her face. "Well, well, even if she wears the most expensive gown, she can't hide her dark past," the woman remarked loudly, her voice dripping with disdain.

The comment hung in the air, cutting through the joyful mood. Alexander stiffened, ready to defend Bernadette, but before he could say anything, Victoria stepped forward with a calm but firm expression.

"Excuse me," Victoria began, her voice steady and unyielding. "What Bernadette chooses to wear is none of your concern. Who are you to pass judgment on her or anyone else?"

The woman blinked in surprise, taken aback by Victoria's directness. "I—"

Victoria didn’t let her finish. "Let me give you some advice: before you go around casting stones, perhaps you should take a look at yourself. You might find that your own behavior stinks much worse than anything you think you see in others."

The client flushed with embarrassment, her confidence wavering under Victoria's piercing gaze. Victoria continued, her tone still controlled but with an edge of steel. "And for the record, my designs are meant for women who possess not just a pretty face, but also a beautiful soul. Judging by your behavior, I’d say my gowns are not for you."

There was a brief silence as everyone in the boutique absorbed Victoria’s words. The client, now thoroughly chastened and red-faced, hurriedly closed the catalogue and muttered an insincere apology before rushing out of the shop.

Bernadette, who had been standing silently, feeling a mix of surprise and admiration, turned to Victoria. "Thank you," she said softly, deeply touched by Victoria’s defense.

Victoria gave her a reassuring smile. "You don’t need to thank me, Bernadette. People like her will always find something to criticize, but they don’t define you. You are stronger than that. And this gown? It’s going to shine just as brightly as you do, past or no past."

While Alexander and Thunder sat in the lounge of Victoria's shop, sipping coffee and waiting for Alexander’s turn for a fitting, they both watched the scene unfold with a mixture of amusement and respect. Victoria was fiercely defending Bernadette against the rude client, her protective instincts on full display.

Thunder smirked, shaking his head. “You know, Alexander, Victoria is genuinely one of the kindest people I know. But when someone crosses her or steps out of line, her ‘evil side’ comes out faster than you can blink.”

Alexander chuckled, nodding in agreement. “I’ve seen that. Bernadette is the same way. She’s a forbearing woman—gentle and somewhat clingy, but don’t let that fool you. Push her too far, and she’s just as dangerous as anyone. She’s faced a lot and has a strength that can be quite formidable.”

Thunder raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “I know a bit about Bernadette’s past. You’re saying that her calm exterior hides a more dangerous side?”

Alexander leaned back in his chair, his expression serious. “Yes, exactly. You’re aware of what she’s been through, right? It’s not something she talks about often... Her strength is something you don’t want to underestimate.”

Thunder nodded, clearly understanding the depth of Alexander’s words. “It sounds like she’s not someone to be trifled with, especially if you push her.”

Alexander smiled, looking over at Victoria, who was still engaged in her spirited defense. “Exactly. Both Victoria and Bernadette have a way of dealing with adversity that’s more intense than people might expect. It’s one of the reasons they both deserve respect.”

Thunder clinked his coffee cup with Alexander’s in a gesture of camaraderie. “Here’s to strong women who know how to stand their ground. And to the men who appreciate them for it.”

Alexander raised his cup in response. “ Cheers to that.”

After the harsh client left, Bernadette approached Alexander, her expression filled with concern. “I’m so sorry for the scene earlier. I didn’t mean to cause such a commotion.”

Victoria, who had just finished tidying up the area, intervened with a dismissive wave of her hand. “There’s no need to apologize, Bernadette. I can’t tolerate that kind of attitude in my shop. If a client wants to be rude and judgmental, they’re welcome to leave. I have no problem losing someone with such an evil manner.”

Thunder, who had been watching the exchange with a smirk, shook his head in amusement. “You’ve got to admire Victoria’s dedication to maintaining a good atmosphere here. She doesn’t let anyone spoil it, no matter who they are.”

Victoria smiled, clearly pleased with Thunder’s support. “Exactly. My shop, my rules. I’ll take good people over troublesome ones any day.”

Bernadette gave Victoria a grateful smile. “Thank you, Victoria. It means a lot to me that you stood up for me like that.”

Victoria gave her a warm, reassuring nod. “Anytime, Bernadette. You’re one of my regulars and a friend. I’ll always have your back.”

Alexander added, “And that’s why we’re lucky to have you in our corner, Victoria. It makes all the difference.”

Victoria grinned. “Glad to hear it. Now, let’s focus on getting everything perfect for the wedding, shall we?”

Thunder and Alexander both laughed, their spirits lifted by the strong support and camaraderie among friends.

Victoria and Thunder invited Alexander and Bernadette to lunch, and the atmosphere was light and lively as they settled into their seats.

Victoria, with a playful grin, started the conversation. “So, tell us, how’s the wedding planning going? Any funny stories or interesting mishaps?”

Bernadette laughed, “Oh, there have been a few! We had a mix-up with the caterer’s menu. We ended up with a tasting of three different kinds of desserts—none of which we actually ordered... We ended booking with Zarina Clemente Torres's Melts and Licks and Foxtrot Catering Service in cooperation of Cloche Food Haven.”

Thunder chuckled "Zarina is my bruddie Nickolai Torres's wife, her cakes and pastries are all heaven taste,"

Victoria: "Wow! Your wedding are combined service of LCB family...Helenes for your wedding rings, mine your wedding outfit, Zarina for your sweets... Even the caterers are acquaintances too,"

Alexander nodded, grinning..." Its safe to be with those expert in the field,"

Victoria laughed, “I can relate. It's difficult to be compromised.”

Thunder  “ That's your special day, it must be perfect..”
