The room is bathed in the soft afternoon light. Dr. Alexander and Bernadette sit across from each other on a comfortable couch. Dr. Alexander looks at Bernadette with a thoughtful expression, while Bernadette seems pensive.
Dr. Alexander: gently "Bern, now that the case is behind us and things are settling down, you're free to make your own decisions. You can pursue your plans, your dreams. It's your time to focus on what makes you happy."
Bernadette: suddenly tearful "Why are you saying this? Why now?"
Dr. Alexander: reaching out to comfort her "I just want you to know that you have the freedom to choose your path. You've been through so much, and you deserve to find your happiness. But remember, you're always welcome here if you ever feel like coming back."
Bernadette: through her tears "What if... what if you are my happiness? What if I want to stay?"
Dr. Alexander: looking surprised and touched "Bern, if that's how you truly feel, then I want you to know that it makes me happier. I never intended to push you away. My only wish is for you to be free to choose and be happy."
Bernadette: nodding, still emotional "I've realized that through all this, it's not just about finding my happiness; it's about being with someone who means so much to me. And that person is you."
Dr. Alexander: taking her hand "You don't have to go anywhere if you don't want to. If you're certain about this, I am most happy if you stay. We can face the future together. You have a place with me, always."
Bernadette: smiling through her tears "I'm certain. I want to be here with you. I want to build our future together."
Dr. Alexander: smiling warmly "Then that's what we'll do. We'll face whatever comes next together, as partners. I'm glad to have you by my side."
The atmosphere in the room is warm and intimate. Dr. Alexander and Bernadette are sitting close together, the soft light casting a gentle glow around them. Bernadette looks at Dr. Alexander with a mix of vulnerability and hope.
Bernadette: softly, with a hint of hesitation "Dr. Alexander Farrones, do you love me?"
Dr. Alexander is momentarily taken aback by the question. He looks deeply into her eyes, searching for the right words. A tender smile slowly spreads across his face.
Dr. Alexander: gently "Ms. Bernadette Lacuesta, Yes, I do... I've loved you for a long time... since we were kids... More than just a friend, more than just a confidante. My feelings for you have grown stronger over the time and gets stronger as we've spent time together, and I realize now just how much you mean to me.... Did you not feel it?"
Bernadette: eyes welling with tears of relief and joy "I can't trust my feelings...sometimes my intuitions deceive me... Though I've been afraid to ask, but now I needed to know."
Dr. Alexander: taking her hand "I love you, Bernadette. I love everything in you. I want to be with you, not just as a friend but as something more."
Bernadette: smiling through her tears "I love you too. I've felt it for a while now, and it's comforting to know you feel the same way."
Dr. Alexander: pulling her into a gentle embrace "I keep it to myself because it's no longer appropriate... When I came back its your wedding day, so I decided to leave...I take my specialization to U.S...though I am happy that you are happy, but it's breaking me seeing you in other's arms."
Bernadette: holding him close "Thank you for being with me in my darkest times, for loving me without considering the judgment of the people around us... I'm ready to face the future with you by my side."
