The morning light filters softly through the thick curtains of your four-poster bed. You stir awake to the familiar sounds of Lavender Brown's cheerful greetings and the rustling of sheets from other beds. With a contented sigh, you slip out of your warm cocoon and start getting dressed.

Lavender is already up, stretching and yawning with her usual morning enthusiasm. "Good morning, everyone!" she announces, her voice echoing in the quiet dormitory.

Parvati, still half-asleep, groans and buries her face in her pillow. "Why do you have to be so chipper so early, Lav?"

Hermione is already at her desk, scribbling away on parchment. "Morning, Eveline," she says, barely glancing up.

"Morning, Hermione," you reply, smiling as you finish dressing. Hermione's eyes twinkle with a mix of amusement and exhaustion. "Have you finished the transfiguration essay yet?"

"Ugh barely, McGonogalls essays are no joke"

As you and the girls head to the common room, the warmth of the fire welcomes you, casting a cozy glow on the room. You spot Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnigan sitting at a table near the window, deep in conversation. Dean's face lights up when he sees you, and you can't help but notice the way his gaze lingers on you.

The walk to the Great Hall is filled with the usual morning chatter, and as you make your way to your seat at the Gryffindor table, Dean, Seamus and Ron join you. Dean's smile is warm and genuine as he greets you.

"Morning, everyone," Dean says, his tone light. "Excited for today?"

You shrug playfully. "Depends on how many times Snape criticises my perfectly good potions."

"Well Ev maybe your potions aren't as good as you think!" Ron jokes

Dean chuckles, his laughter a pleasant sound. "I think we're all in for it with him. But hey, at least we have Quidditch to look forward to."

Oliver Wood, your older brother and the Gryffindor Quidditch captain, joins the table and immediately turns his attention to you. "Have you seen my good luck socks around Evie I accidentally left them by the fire last night? I can't go first game without them!"

You see Seamus's face go red "Seriously Ol maybe loosing your socks won't be such a bad thing"

"Well I'm blaming it on you if I I don't know fall of my broom tomorrow or something!" he shouted walking off a hot mess

"Honestly he's such a baby" you mutter to Ron

Dean's eyes flicker with interest "I used to be like that for my games" He laughed

"Really? what sport then" you ask

Dean's eyes light up "Oh-Uh I play Football.. well I used to now I'm here"

"No way!" you exclaim. "I love Football too it's one of the only muggle sports I can tolrate"

Dean's eyes widen with surprise. "Really? that's great I've been dying to talk to someone about this season but everyone just thinks im crazy"

"Well I have to get my dad to owl me the scores and like what happened and stuff... it's not looking good but I hope it's just his horrible writing skills" you say

"Oh what team?"

"Chelsea what about you?" you ask

"Ah West Ham honestly feel bad for you as a Chelsea fan at the moment" He joked

"I feel bad for me too" you laughed, Ron oblivious to the conversation

After breakfast, you head to Charms. Charms is slowly becoming a better subject and you honestly like it more than you thought although you weren't great at Wingardium Leviosa your current topic but at least you weren't as bad as Ron who could barely pronounce it or Seamus who somehow burnt his feather every session.
