this is a different name, i can't be bothered to go through and change the name from 'lexie' to 'jess', like i did on some other chapters.

may be very triggering for some readers. includes hospitals and stuff like that.

none of this makes sense whatsoever. i wrote most of it at like 4am, but i cant be bothered to edit it so just roll with it.

information: today is halloween. scarlett and lizzie are lexie's mothers. they have lots of halloween snacks and they are spending the night in watching lots of movies and eating candy because lexie didn't want to go trick or treating. lexie is 5 years old.

scarlett and lexie are together decorating the rest of the cookies whilst lizzie is in the living room searching for a movie.

scarlett: "look at this cookie, baby!"

lexie: "it's beautiful, mama!"

scarlett smiles and kisses lexie's head.

scarlett: "which one is your favourite?"

lexie: "this one, mama."

lexie points to a cookie with a pumpkin.

scarlett smiles once more and finishes decorating the rest of the cookies. she then lifts lexie up and sets her on the stool at the kitchen island.

scarlett: "stay here. i'm gonna go help mommy find a movie, okay?"

lexie: "okay, mama."

scarlett walks over to the living room and sees lizzie sitting on the couch looking at the tv screen in a zombie like state.

scarlett: "babe."

lexie picks up the cookie with the pumpkin on and she eats it.

lizzie quickly snaps out of it and swivels her head around to scarlett. she gives her a half-hearted smile.

lizzie: "yeah, love?"

scarlett sits next to her. her eyebrow is raised.

scarlett: "you look like a zombie. did you find anything?"

lizzie shakes her head.

lizzie: "i just keep scrolling. everything sucks now. i'm really in the mood for a good horror movie."

once lexie finishes her cookie she eats another one.

scarlett is amused by this and smiles while lizzie continues to scroll through the options.

lizzie: "i feel like we've watched everything, y'know? like there's nothing good left."

once lexie has finished that cookie, she jumps off the kitchen island and runs into the living room and jumps on lizzie's lap.

lizzie is surprised but quickly wraps her arms around lexie and pulls her into her lap.

lizzie: "hey there, babygirl."

lexie: "hello, mommy."

lizzie hugs her tightly and kisses her head.

lizzie: "how many cookies have you eaten, little lady?"

lexie: "what? how do you know?"

lizzie: "scarlet and i could hear the munching of the cookies every couple of seconds. you're really trying to hide it, huh?"

lexie: "only two. mommy and mama mad?"

scarlett laughs.

lizzie: "no, baby. we're not mad. we just don't want you being sick. did you wash your hands after eating all those cookies?"
