information: scarlett is jess' girlfriend. today, scarlett has plans to propose to jess. jess and scarlett are currently at the beach with a cute little picnic at sunset. what jess doesn't know is that scarlett has a ring in her jacket pocket. jess is laying inbetween scarlett's legs with her head on her chest, and scarlett has her arms wrapped around jess.

scarlett smiles and gently runs her fingers through jess' hair. "i can't believe it's nearly been a year since we got together," she says quietly.

jess looks up at scarlett with a smile on her face. "i know, it's flown by. i feel like i met you yesterday," she replies, cuddling closer to scarlett's body.

scarlett smiles and presses a kiss to the top of jess' head. she takes a deep breath, and feels her heart start to beat faster. she knows it's now or never. she gently nudges jess to sit up.

jess looks confused as she sits up, turning to face scarlett. "what's up?" she asks, tilting her head slightly.

scarlett takes jess' hands in hers and looks into her eyes. "i have something i need to ask you," she says, her voice slightly wobbly.

jess looks at scarlett with a mixture of curiosity and anticipation. "okay, go ahead," she says, squeezing scarlett's hands in reassurance.

scarlett takes a deep breath and steels herself. "jess, you are the love of my life. you are the funniest, most beautiful, most amazing person i have ever known, and i want to spend the rest of my life with you," she says, her voice wavering. jess' breath hitches in anticipation.

scarlett takes a deep breath and continues. "i want to fall asleep with you and wake up with you every day. i want to build a life with you, and grow old together. there's no one i would rather do that with than you," scarlett says, as she reaches into her jacket pocket.

jess watches with bated breath as scarlett pulls out a small, velvet box. her eyes widen in realization as scarlett opens the box, revealing a simple, but beautiful diamond ring.

scarlett looks up at jess, her fingers trembling slightly. "jess, will you marry me?" she asks quietly, her eyes nervously searching jess' face for her reaction.

jess' eyes fill with tears at the sight of the ring, and scarlett's words. "yes," she says, her voice breaking. "yes, of course i'll marry you."

scarlett feels a wave of relief wash over her as jess accepts her proposal. she takes the ring out of the box and gently slides it onto jess' finger, her hands shaking with excitement.

jess looks down at the ring on her finger with a mix of joy and disbelief. she looks back up at scarlett, a smile on her face. "i love you so much," she says, cupping scarlett's face in her hands and pulling her in for a kiss.

scarlett kisses jess back passionately, wrapping her arms around her waist and pulling her closer. they stay like that for a long moment, simply enjoying being close to each other.

after they finally pull away for air, jess rests her forehead against scarlett's and looks into her eyes. "i can't believe i get to marry you," she says softly, a dreamy look in her eyes.

scarlett smiles widely and runs her fingers through jess' hair affectionately. "and i can't believe i get to marry you," she replies, leaning in to press another kiss to jess' lips.

they spend the rest of the evening on the beach, watching the sun go down and basking in the afterglow of scarlett's proposal. as they pack up their things to head home, jess can't help but admire her ring every few minutes, twirling it on her finger and smiling to herself.

when they get back to their house and go inside, they're greeted by the sight of the place all lit up with fairy lights, rose petals scattered on the floor, and soft music playing in the background. scarlett looks at jess with a mischievous smile.

jess looks around in awe, her eyes widening at the romantic scene. "you did all this?" she asked, turning to looked at scarlett in amazement.

scarlett nods, stepping closer to jess and wrapping her arms around her waist. "i wanted tonight to be special," she says, resting her chin on top of jess' shoulder. jess turns in scarlett's arms and wraps her own arms around her neck.
