information: scarlett and lexie are arguing again. last night they had an argument because of how much they've drifted and now they're arguing again this morning.

scarlett: "stop it, lexie. i can't take this."

lexie: "why do you think that i can?"

scarlett: "you're constantly picking fights with me. every night it's the same thing. you're angry at me for something i did, or something i said. then we go to bed angry and the cycle starts all over again in the morning!"

scarlett exclaimed, clearly frustrated

lexie: "well, maybe if you weren't always doing something to piss me off, i wouldn't be mad at you all the time!"

lexie retorted, folding her arms and glaring at scarlett.

scarlett: "what exactly do you think i'm doing to upset you? i'm doing my best here. i love you, lexie, i really do. but you're making it damn hard for me to be around you right now."

lexie: "i don't know, maybe it's because you're never home anymore. you're always out late, coming back smelling like perfume. i'm not stupid, i know what you're doing on those nights you go out."

lexie accused, her voice laced with jealousy and hurt.

scarlett: "oh, here we go. you're going to accuse me of cheating on you again, aren't you? i can't believe you don't trust me."

scarlett said, her irritation growing with every word.

lexie: "it's not that i don't trust you, it's just that you're giving me every reason not to. you're never home when you say you're gonna be, and you always smell like some other woman's perfume when you finally do get back."

lexie's voice trembled as she spoke, her fear and suspicion coming to the surface.

scarlett: "i've told you a hundred times, i'm not cheating on you! i'm out late because i'm working. i come back smelling like perfume because sometimes i walk past people wearing it. it's not my fault that i'm a magnet for all the best scents. and you really think i don't know what you're trying to do? every time you accuse me of cheating, it drives me further away from you."

lexie: "what am i supposed to think, scarlett? you're never home, you're always so secretive, and you won't even touch me anymore. it's been weeks since we've even kissed. i'm not stupid, i know the signs of an unfaithful partner, i've dealt with it before."

scarlett: "oh, so now you're bringing up your past relationships and comparing me to your shitty exes? that's low, even for you."

scarlett stepped closer to lexie, her expression hardening.

lexie: "well, excuse me for being a little paranoid when my girlfriend is constantly giving me reasons to doubt her. maybe if you were a little more open and honest with me, i wouldn't have these suspicions."

lexie shot back, refusing to back down from the confrontation.

scarlett: "open and honest? you want me to be open and honest with you? okay, here's me being open and honest: i'm having a hard time being around you when you're constantly starting fights with me and throwing cheating accusations in my face. it's not exactly a turn-on, you know."

scarlett's voice was sharp and biting, her patience at its breaking point.

lexie: "so you're saying it's my fault that you're not attracted to me anymore? that i'm the problem here?"
