I may delete Y/Ns memories from last chapter. I just wrote it very underwhelming. And like, her memories aren't that important. The whole point was that Y/N was mad at Jack for "giving" his life for her. I also need to think of a better death scene for his "sacrifice."
So I may rid of those, but wanted to see what people thought.
ALSOOOO I've added a memory to Jacks past, so it will explain why Jack is feeling so lovey Dovey when drawing on Jamie's window.
Jack had flown into Pitch's lair, opening up a cage a group of mini tooth fairies were held hostage in.
"C'mon let's go!" He barked angrily, his glare still prominent on his face. Curtesy of Y/N.
Some of the Fairies flinched at his tone of voice, making Jacks gaze soften and his anger suddenly fade.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to- wait what's wrong?" He Suddenly asked, seeing that none had flown out and were twittering in alarm.
He looked up to the other cages of fairies above. "None of you can fly?"
He asked back to the cage he was hanging onto from the side.
Babytooth on his shoulder squeaked, Jack followed her gaze to see her looking at Pitch's mini globe.
"...the lights... they're all going out."
One by one, the last few golden lights started to disappear.
However, a small flicker of hope lifted Jacks spirit to see one stubborn light left that hadn't yet gone out.
He climbed onto the globe to see where the last child was located.
"Jamie!"
———
"Okay look." Jamie spoke to his stuffed bunny on his bed seriously.
"You and I are obviously at what they call a crossroads. So here's what's gonna happen."
Jack just made it to Jamie window, peeking at him from the outside.
"-if it wasn't a dream and if you are real, then you have to prove it." Jamie leaned closer into his bunny. "Like, right now!"
His rabbit with one eye missing, replaced with a button, stood still and silent.
Jacks face fell with pity and he now crouched.
"...I've believed in you for a long time okay? Like my whole life in fact! So you kind of owe me now." Jamie grabbed the rabbit and held it up. "You don't have to do much.. just a little sign so I know."
Jamie smiled hopefully.
"Anything... anything at all."
A few more seconds of silence, Jamie sighed and hunched over. "I knew it."
He dropped his rabbit down the side of his bed, it hit the floor.
Jack silently gasped before slowly opeing the window more and letting himself inside Jamie's bedroom.
Jack stressed for a quick moment. Until, out of an old habit which was until recently long forgotten, he frosted over the window and began to draw.
He drew an oval shape, drawing zigzag lines and dots within it, creating what looked like an Easter egg.
Jamie heard the squeaks of Jacks finger against the window and gasped to see the egg. He looked down to his stuffed rabbit before back at the window, now standing on top of his bed.
"He's real."
Jack without realising, started to smile fondly, oddly feeling at peace despite the situation happening tonight.
He then began to draw a rabbit.
