The sun rose gently over the Kim household, its warm rays filtering through the curtains and casting a soft glow over the room. The previous night’s revelations still hung heavily in the air, but there was a sense of quiet determination among the brothers. They had made a promise to Jungkook—to protect him, to be there for him—and today was the first step in keeping that promise.

Jungkook stirred awake, his body still sore from the physical and emotional toll of the night before. For a moment, he was disoriented, the events of the previous day a blurry haze in his mind. But then the memories came flooding back—the confession, the tears, the overwhelming support from his brothers. He felt a strange mix of relief and anxiety, unsure of what the day would bring.

Taehyung was the first to notice Jungkook waking up. He had stayed by his side all night, refusing to leave him alone even for a moment. “Morning, Kookie,” he said softly, his voice filled with gentle concern. “How are you feeling?”

Jungkook blinked up at his brother, his eyes still heavy with sleep. “I’m… okay,” he mumbled, though he wasn’t entirely sure if that was true. The truth was, he still felt fragile, like a glass that could shatter with the slightest touch.

Taehyung could sense the uncertainty in Jungkook’s voice and gave him a reassuring smile. “You don’t have to pretend, Kookie. It’s okay to not be okay.”

Jungkook nodded, his eyes darting around the room. He noticed the other brothers slowly stirring awake, each of them still wrapped up in their own thoughts. The sight of them, all gathered together like this, brought him a sense of comfort. They were all here, and they weren’t going anywhere.

Seokjin was the next to wake up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he sat up. He immediately turned his attention to Jungkook, his motherly instincts kicking in. “Good morning, Kookie,” he said softly. “Are you hungry? I can make you some breakfast.”

Jungkook’s stomach rumbled at the mention of food, and despite everything, he managed a small smile. “Maybe a little…”

“I’ll make your favorite,” Seokjin said, smiling back as he got up to head to the kitchen. “You need to eat something to keep your strength up.”

Yoongi, who had been lying quietly on the couch, opened his eyes and glanced over at Jungkook. “How’s the pain, Kookie? Do you need any more medicine?”

Jungkook hesitated, still feeling some lingering soreness. “Maybe… just a little.”

“I’ll get it for you,” Yoongi said, getting up and heading to the bathroom to fetch the painkillers. His usually cold demeanor was softened by the concern he felt for his youngest brother.

Namjoon was already awake, deep in thought as he sat in the armchair by the window. He had spent most of the night thinking about what needed to be done next—about how they could ensure Jungkook’s safety moving forward. But for now, he knew the most important thing was to be there for him. “We’ll take it easy today, Kookie,” he said, his voice calm and steady. “No pressure, just rest and recover. We’ve got your back.”

Hoseok, who had been cuddled up next to Jungkook, was the last to wake. He immediately wrapped his arms around Jungkook, pulling him into a warm hug. “Morning, baby,” he said softly, his usual sunshine demeanor returning. “We’re going to make today a good day, okay? No worries, just love and care.”

Jungkook felt a wave of gratitude wash over him as he looked around at his brothers. Despite everything, they were still here, still supporting him. He felt a little less afraid, knowing they were by his side.

Taehyung reached out and ruffled Jungkook’s hair, his touch gentle and affectionate. “You’re stronger than you think, Kookie. We’ll get through this together.”

Jungkook nodded, feeling a little bit of hope stirring in his chest. “Thank you, Tae-hyung… Thank you, everyone.”

As the morning unfolded, the brothers did everything they could to make Jungkook feel loved and supported. Seokjin made a delicious breakfast, filling the house with the comforting smell of food. Yoongi brought Jungkook his painkillers, making sure he was as comfortable as possible. Hoseok kept the atmosphere light and cheerful, doing his best to make Jungkook smile. Namjoon stayed close by, offering quiet support and reassurance whenever Jungkook needed it.

And Taehyung—Taehyung never left Jungkook’s side. He knew that Jungkook trusted him more than anyone, and he wasn’t going to let him down. He stayed close, holding Jungkook’s hand, letting him know that he was never alone.

As the day went on, Jungkook started to feel a little more like himself. The fear and pain were still there, but they were starting to feel a little less overwhelming. With his hyungs by his side, he knew that he could face whatever came next.

The road to healing was going to be long and difficult, but Jungkook wasn’t facing it alone. He had his family, and with them, he knew he could get through anything.
