"Baby..."
My heart skipped a beat upon hearing that voice. My eyes immediately adjusted then tried to find where it came from
"Where are you?" Why is it so dark in here?
"Baby..." My heart raced at the sound of her calling me. That voice...
I know that voice so well.
I can't see anything..nasan ako? Ano tong lugar na to? Bakit ang dilim? Feeling ko walang kahangin hangin sa loob ng lugar na to...I can't breathe...
"How are you, my baby?" She asked, her tone soft and achingly familiar.
Naramdaman kong nag init mata ko kaya agad kong kinapa dibdib ko dahil bigla itong bumigat.
"Where are you?" Lalamyos kong tanong at sinubukan naman tumayo sa kama ko ngunit wala akong kahit anong makita. "Where have you been? Why aren't you showing yourself?"
Pinipilit kong kapain ang buong paligid ngunit puno lang ito ng dilim. I really can't see anything..i tried to rub my eyes but it's still the same.
I feel paralyzed.
My tears are now streaming down my face.
I really missed her
"Please..." I whispered, my voice trembling.
I looked around again but there was nothing—no figure, no reassuring presence, just some oppressive void pressing in from all sides.
"Please? Where are you? I have been looking for you since that day. You just left me there. Why aren't you coming back to me?" I asked, trying to converse with her even though i no longer feel my hands.
Why is everything so heavy?
"Hello? I can't see you," I called out. I'm barely holding on to not let my voice crack.
I'm getting more desperate on seeing her.
"Why are you crying?" She spoke again. I look behind to find her but to my dismay, she wasn't there.
"It's because I can't see you" I sadly answered, roaming my eyes around this terrifying room. "I'm scared...please yakap mo po ako."
"I can't..." she replied kaya nag taka naman ako.
"Why? Tell me where are you, I'll fetch you myself po" i said in my desperate voice.
I heard a soft sweet giggle from her that immediately made my heart flutter.
"It's been so long..I can't even remember when's the last time i heard you laugh like that." I spoke, wiping off my tears. "I'll fetch you myself, where are you?"
"My dear baby..." The giggles stopped "a monster took me away..."
Agad akong nagtaka "but you said monsters can't touch us?"
