"Waaahh that was so good!" Napasandal ako sa sofa habang hinihimas tyan ko. "Busog much yumyum!" Hagikgik ko na mahina at pumikit ngunit agad din napadilat dahil muntik kona makalimutang kasama ko pala si Miss Aurea ngayon!
Nakaupo lang ito sa tapat ko habang nakatitig sakin na tila pinagmamasadan lahat ng galaw ko.
"That was improper, I'm sorry–"
"You like jollibee that much to the point you transform into a big size baby?" She asked, still keeping her cold gaze at me.
Hindi ko alam kung namamalikmata bako o tila may kinang sa mga mata niya habang nakatitig sakin.
Jeez, hindi ko pa siguro mapapansin kung hindi ko siya pagmamasdan ng matagal. How is she so good at concealing herself?
A baby? Am I childish when it comes to food?
"I just like foods ma'am and I am not a baby" I said in defense na nagpakurso ng mga braso niya sa dibdib "hey, why do you like judging me?" Sinubukan kong tarayan mukha ko pero agad din binawi dahil tinaasan ako ng kilay nito.
"Not a baby? Are you sure? Aren't you 22 years old?"
Natigilan naman ako. "How did you know my age?" I asked at napansin kong siya naman yung natigilan na tila nagulat sa tanong ko.
I never disclose any of my personal information to anyone unless they're my friends. How in the hell ito nalaman ng iba? Let alone na professor ko pa talaga?
I kept my gaze on her at pilit binabasa yung nasa likod ng napaka tigas niyang persona.
I'm having trouble on reading her.
"Who said I know your age? I'm guessing it, I didn't say anything about knowing your age." kalmadong sagot nito na lalong nagpalito sakin.
Is that a genuine response or i'm just overly paranoid about myself?
I can't let my guard down. Who knows? Baka isa pala 'to sa spies ba pinadala ni papa.
But there's no point of me to suspect her. Right?—should I look her up?—no...I'm just being paranoid and skeptical about her.
"You and your thoughts are really vexing. I told you to speak up your mind, Dacarte. What's inside your head?" She inquired, sighing. "You see, I'm not fond of guessing your thoughts." She added, clicking her tongue with a slight frown formed on her face.
Natigilan naman nako ng tuluyan sa mga not worthy thoughts ko.
"From now on, you may speak whatever it is. I don't mind listening to your thoughts anyway." She said, leaving me speechless. She really doesn't wanna beat around the bush.
"Did our relationship somehow changed? Are we friends now?"
She raised an eyebrow, amusement flitting across her face for a moment before her usual scowl returns. "Friends?" She laughs dryly. "Know your place Dacarte. I'm still your professor and you're still my student." She enunciated na nagpatigil sakin. I wanna argue back pero pinigilan kona sarili ko dahil baka mag escalate na naman at maging sanhi ng away namin.
