Slowly, Jiwon opened her eyes. She felt Soohyun's arm draped around her waist, his warm breath gently stirring her hair. She turned to face him, their noses almost touching. As she admired his sharp features such as his thick eyebrows, monolid eyes, and full lips, she couldn't help but smile. He is perfect in her eyes, a small smile tucked on her lips. She used to hate him, but now she wants him for herself. She remembers that she once treat him like an enemy, but now he seemed perfect to her, a stark contrast to her past feelings.
Soohyun stirred and, upon meeting her gaze, he smiled warmly. What a great way to start a day.
"Morning!" Jiwon chuckled when she heard Soohyun's husky voice.
"Morning, oppa," Jiwon said, he planting a kiss on her head once before waking up.
Jiwon, just look at Soohyun, who is stretching his body while she is sitting and admiring him.
"Are you going to work?" Jiwon asked, and Soohyun just shook his head as no
"Why?" Soohyun inquired, and Jiwon eyes bright with anticipation.
"Can we go to the flower garden again?" Jiwon opened her hands again, holding out her arms, hoping for another piggyback ride.
"As much as I want to bring you there, we can't, my precious. The doctor will come to check your condition, and you need to take your breakfast and medicine first." Soohyun uses his lower tone, even using the right words, so Jiwon won't sulk at him, but he can still see she is pouting. Jiwon is pouting, and Soohyun quickly approaches pouty Jiwon. He is trying to soothe her disappointment. Despite his efforts, Jiwon's pout persisted.
"Listen, my precious, we will go and spend a lot of time there, but after the doctor checks on you, okay, you also need to take your medicine so you won't feel sick or hurt again." Soohyun still persuades Jiwon, but she decides to look away.
"How about I carry you around the room while we wait?" Soohyun suggested. Jiwon's eyes lit up instantly.
*Can you carry me from the front?" Jiwon asked excitedly
"Of course," Soohyun replied confidently.
"As long as you don't hurt your leg." Jiwon smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck as he lifted her gently, her other leg draped over his waist. She clung to him like a koala, and Soohyun laughed softly, holding her securely.
"My precious is in a clingy mood today," he teased as he walked her around the room with her in his arms.
"Do you want to do our morning routine first?" Soohyun asked. Jiwon nodded, and he carefully set her down beside the sink. He helped her with her headband and handed her the toothpaste on the toothbrush. They completed their routine together, and Soohyun carried her for half an hour until Jisoo arrived with the nurses.
"Morning," Jisoo greeted with a knowing smile. Soohyun rolled his eyes in response.
Jiwon tightened her hold on Soohyun's neck when he tried to set her on the bed. Soohyun and Jisoo exchanged glances. Though Jisoo enjoyed teasing him, she recognized the need for privacy.
"Why, my precious?" Soohyun asked gently, but Jiwon remained silent, her face hidden against his shoulder.
"We need to let the doctor check you, and after that, we'll head to the garden, I promise," Soohyun coaxed.
"Shiroo," Jiwon murmured, her voice muffled.
"They just need a few minutes to check on you my precious" Soohyun talk softly, they need to know her current condition to avoid any bad effect from coming back.
"You are not going to leave me, right?" Jiwon pulled away and looked at Soohyun, her arms still locked on his shoulder. He is looking at her pout, and that is his weakness.
"Listen, my precious Kim Ding, I will stay with you until they finish. I promised" Jiwon is still pouting, so Soohyun decides to rub his nose with her, and she ends up laughing. He carefully place Jiwon on the bed before calling for Jisoo. The doctor is waiting outside the room.
"You can come in." Soohyun said lazily, and Jisoo was still her teasing smile.
"And stop smiling like that," Soohyun reminded her, and Jisoo just ignored it and came into the room with the same nurses.
"Morning, Dr. Jiwon." Jisoo greets her, and Jiwon smiles at her.
"Morning to you too, doctor." Jiwon greets her back.
"Do you still feel dizzy or have any headaches?" Jisoo asked Jiwon, even though she seemed pale but not as pale as yesterday.
"I feel better, doctor." Jisoo nodded. She was glad that she felt better.
"Please eat the breakfast and the medicine later, okay?" Jisoo instructed. After a final nod from Jiwon, Jisoo and the nurses left.
"Want to take a bath?" Soohyun asked, and Jiwon just nodded. He carried her to the bathroom and let her finish her stuff while he is checking his work. Taehyung does a great job handling almost all the problems with Haein, so he just does the rest, like checking and signing the report or documents.
...
Both of them end up spending the rest of the morning at the flower garden, and Soohyun is always there with her. Jiwon will be extra clingy, she only wants him to carry her around, feed her, and much more. Just like now, she is sitting on his lap while Soohyun is doing his job. Jiwon sat on her side, resting her head on Soohyun's chest enjoying his heartbeat sound.
"Are you comfortable, my precious?" Soohyun asked and caressed her leg. Making sure she is comfortable in that position. Soohyun admit, Jiwon cling to him like a koala and won't let him go for seconds if she thinks his excuses are nonsense.
"Very comfortable," Jiwon said, smiling while Soohyun is continuing his job. They spend good hours in that position until Soohyun finishes his job. When he glances down, he can see Jiwon is sleeping peacefully. Her hands is holding his right hand that he use hug her, intertwined their fingers l, scared that he leaves her when she is sleeping.
"If only people knew how clingy Lieutenant Kim Jiwon is, they'd be lining up to marry you," Soohyun whispered, caressing her cheek before carrying her back to the bed. Making sure he is not waking her before climb on the bed.
"I love you, my precious, always and forever queen Kim Jiwon," Soohyun said, kissing her forehead and nose before stealing a peck on her kissable lips. Both of them dozed off peacefully, with Soohyun hugging Jiwon, as she was a precious thing for him.
