Elly had been incontinent for as long as she could remember. She was diagnosed when she was 7 years old. At the age of six, her parents started worrying about her still wetting the bed and having the occasional accident. So, on a Friday morning, they took her to the doctor to get it sorted out. Sadly, they weren't taken very seriously, and the doctor sent them away, saying they should give it more time and to just give her protection during the night.
When she turned 7 and the situation remained unchanged, her parents decided to take her to a different hospital to get some tests done. That's where everything became clear.
Elly seemed to have a lack of nerves to send the right signals to her brain when she needed the toilet. They would either let her know she had to go when she was already close to an accident or not let her know at all. This, combined with the fact that she had very weak muscles around her bowel and bladder, had caused all the accidents and bedwetting. To make matters worse, the doctors also said it would never get any better, and would only grow worse as she got older.
With time, though, Elly managed to live an almost normal life. She eventually gained some control and didn't wet herself as frequently as she used to. She had turned 23 a while ago and lived in a shared apartment with her long-distance girlfriend, Andy. Who did not yet know about her struggles with incontinence. The eventual plan was that Andy would move in with her after she got her high school diploma. Luckily, she had just had her graduation ceremony and would be coming soon on a plane to move in permanently with Elly. Speaking of soon, the story begins a week before Andy's arrival and takes us to a Monday morning where we meet a drowsy Elly for the first time.

Elly groggily opened her eyes, squinting against the soft light filtering through the blinds of her small bedroom. It was Monday morning, a week before Andy's arrival, and the anticipation of finally living together was both thrilling and nerve-wracking. But first, she had to get through another day.
She sighed and rolled to the edge of her bed when she felt the dampness beneath her. She was shocked. How could this have happened? She hadn't had an accident like this for over two years and had woken up at 1 a.m., thanks to her clock warning her to get up just to prevent a situation like this, and yet it had happened.
With a resigned sigh, she pushed the covers aside and swung her legs over the edge of the bed. The cold air hit her skin, sending a shiver down her spine as she carefully stood up, checking how bad the damage was. Luckily, she still wore pull-ups to bed, but not a diaper to soak up a major accident like this. She pulled the sheets away, revealing a large wet spot on the bed. She was close to tears. How could her problem start acting up like this after all this time and at such a bad time? Maybe it was just the nerves, and this was a one-time thing.
Elly quickly changed the sheets before moving through her morning routine with practiced efficiency: a quick shower, a change into fresh clothes, and her morning medications that helped, though never completely solved, the issue. She had learned to manage her incontinence with a combination of scheduled bathroom breaks, protective pull-ups, and a strong sense of determination. Despite the challenges, Elly was determined to live as normal a life as possible.
As she made her way to the kitchen, the smell of coffee greeted her, a small comfort in the quiet apartment. Living on her own had its perks-peace, independence, and the ability to set her own routines. But it also meant dealing with her condition without the immediate support of her parents, who had always been there to help when she was younger.
Elly couldn't help but think about Andy. They had been in a long-distance relationship for what felt like forever, and now the day was almost here when they would finally be together in the same space. The thought filled her with both joy and anxiety. She was mainly scared of Andy's reaction. She didn't think she had to tell her since everything was finally going so well between them. The thought of her incontinence coming between their relationship formed a knot in her stomach. It was best to keep it a secret. It didn't matter anyway, as she barely had accidents anymore. And if she did have one of those rare setbacks, she could always shrug it off as overconfidence or a stomach bug.
As she sipped her coffee, Elly stared out of the kitchen window, lost in thought. The next few days were going to be busy-preparing the apartment, making sure everything was perfect for Andy's arrival, and, most of all, mentally preparing herself for this new chapter in her life.

Hey guys, thanks for reading! I plan to upload every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with a goal of reaching at least 60 chapters since I really want to turn this into a short story.
Word count (excluding this note): 844
If you have any ideas, please let me know! I have many more big accidents planned, but for those who also enjoy story progression, like me, I've decided to include chapters focused on that. I'll mark the chapters with big accidents, peeing, and pooping scenes with stars, so if you prefer to only read those, you can easily skip the story progression ones.
