Sammy is sitting all the way up now, but everyone is still hovering over her.

"How you feeling?" Yasmina places a hand on Sammy's shoulder.

"Like I got punched in the stomach by a porcupine." Sammy smiles.

"So, you know, better."

The group takes a minute to really let the relief wash over them, to let the notion that Sammy's okay settle in their brains.

"Okay," Darius finally says, looking up at the clear sky, "Let's get to the boat while there's a break in the storm."

"What about the Scorpios rex?" Brooklyn voices.

"We have to risk it. We might not get another chance." Darius sighs and begins collecting their supplies.

The campers follow suit and begin collecting their scattered items, putting them back in their bags.

Y/N is taking some bags from Brooklyn after helping Kenji with some water jugs when he remembers that Ben was meant to be grabbing the food that had found its way outside the gate.

He scans the area looking for the boy in case he needs help, but he doesn't see him anywhere.

"Hey, where's Ben?"

Suddenly everyone is at full attention. They immediately split up and enter the jungle in search of their friend.

When the pairs all circle back to the same place, Brooklyn lets out a heavy sigh.

"Bumpy ran off because of the Scorpios, Ben probably went out to look for her."

"Then I'm going to look for him." Y/N decides almost instantly.

"Dude!" Kenji huffs.

"Anyone else see the irony?" Yaz rolls her eyes.

"Okay, let's go." Darius nods.

"The sooner we get Ben, the sooner we get out of here." Brooklyn agrees.

"It's... too dangerous if we all go, the Scorpios is still out there. I'll find him on my own." Y/N folds his arms, clearly not willing to back down.

"What? No way," Brooklyn scoffs, "Since when do we do anything alone?"

"Get to the boat." Y/N barely even hears her words, "If we're not there by sunrise, well, you'll know what that means. And you leave without us."

"What!?" Sammy gasps, "No way!"

"Guys," Darius sighs, "Let him go."

Everyone turns to him in shock, even Y/N's a little surprised. Y/N doesn't know what Darius says next because he takes this opportunity to run off.

The farther he gets into the jungle, the more he realizes he has no idea what he's doing or where he's going. He walks and walks, calling out for ben periodically, hoping the boy will magically appear. Which, he kinda does.

Y/N finds Ben stalking through the trees, close enough for him to have been blatantly ignoring his calls. Ben spots him and begins speedwalking in the opposite direction.

"Ben, wait!" Y/N jogs after him, "Dude, just stop!"

"We're supposed to meet the others at the boat, I told them we'd be there before sunrise, so if we go now, we can--"

Ben doesn't even look at him, he just keeps walking away.

"Ben, the boat is in the other direction."

Ben keeps trailing through the grass, stopping for a second to check some moss.

"Ben, are you even listening?"
