Y/N stands beside Brooklyn, Ben, and Darius outside of main room. They know Kenji is on the other side of the door, but nobody has moved yet.

"You ready?" Darius glances at Brooklyn, nodding for her to open the door.

Brooklyn sighs and pushes it open, all four of them step inside. Kenji doesn't turn around to face his friends, but they know he saw them. Without hesitation Yasmina rushes over from the couch and ushers the boys out of the way to give Brooklyn and Kenji a moment.

They all join Sammy and stand to the side, awkwardly observing the chat.

"Kenj, I'm so sorry I--" Brooklyn starts.

"Stood me up?" Kenji scoffs.

"I-- I know it looks bad, is bad, but-- but I had a good reason!" Brooklyn tries to explain, "The boys and I found out that... that your dad freed Kash. And has Mae working with him to prefect dino control, and, and they've done it."

Kenji drops the dishes he was holding onto the table, "Are you serious!?" He turns around to face his girlfriend.

"Yes!" Brooklyn sighs, "Which is probably what your dad's big presentation today is all about."

"I'm not talking about my dad, I'm talking about you." Kenji folds his arms, "Instead of showing up to our first date you decided to sneak around my back to prove that my dad is, what, some, some sort of supervillain!?"

"We should go." Sammy whispers.

"Agreed." Y/N nods. The two of them try to sneak off but Yaz is quick to tug them back by their arms.

"Right, we should hear this." Sammy nods timidly.

"It wasn't like that." Ben steps into the couple's argument.

"Brooklyn tried to get back for the date but there were... obstacles."

"I don't care!" Kenji scoffs, "I-- I'm not even mad about that! Why didn't you guys just talk to me about any of this?"

"You were getting so close to your dad we didn't wanna bring it up unless we knew for sure he was up to something." Darius explains carefully.

"Fine," Kenji turns away, "I'll talk to him."

"But for the record, you guys are the ones who were obviously up to something." He slams the door shut and the room goes deathly silent.

"Starting to wish we left earlier..." Y/N sighs.

"Nothing's changed," Ben turns to his friends, "We still need to help Mae and stop Mr. Kon."

The six of them alone head back to the building where they found Mae yesterday, hoping it's the right track. They see a BRAD pushing a cart full of crates, Mae and Kash walking behind them.

"A few more tweaks, and it's showtime!" Kash grins, "I told you we'd make a great team."

"Right before you tried to have me killed." Mae deadpans.

"Never gonna let it go, huh?" Kash rolls his eyes, "Daniel will finally see my genius in all its glor--" Kash bumps into the BRAD in front of him.

"Take these supplies inside, then go back for the others." He orders and it moves right away. Mae walks past Kash with an eyeroll and the adults enter the building after the BRAD.

As soon as the door shuts, Ben is up and ready, "We've gotta get in there and help Mae!" He exclaims.

"We can't just storm the place, not with Kash around." Yaz shakes her head.
