I've been sitting on this roof for hours and my back is starting to hurt. My target hasn't even shown up so I've had to find different ways to entertain myself. Right now I'm counting everyone with a hat who enters and leaves. So far there have been 20 people with a baseball cap, two with a cowboy hat, and one with a beanie. Another woman with a beanie pulls up to the building and I realize it's my target. She's talking to someone out front. Looks like they're arguing. That's her sister, Stephanie. We met last night and she gave me the information I needed to make sure the target would arrive here today. I didn't expect the sister to show up as well though. Based on the conversation I had with her last night they're arguing over money. I just have to wait until the target leaves. Then I can track her car and make my move. I take out my audio device out so I can hear what they're saying.
"You can't keep doing this!" The sister complains.
"It's just one more time." The target promises.
"You say that every time. At the family and friends meeting they said we have to stop enabling you." Stephanie grumbles. She crosses her arms and her posture straightens.
She's trying to seem more serious but it looks forced. Like she could give in at any moment.
"If you don't give me the money for it, I can find it elsewhere."
"Well then do it! I can't keep helping you though. You won't squander my inheritance!"
"You were always so obsessed with material things. That inheritance doesn't mean anything when you're dead. Ask that Max Greenwood guy."
Oh yeah there was recently an agency assignment to take him out. I heard it had a huge price tag attached to it too. Sadly I was too busy with this mission to take it on as well because the deadline to do it was yesterday. I'm not sure who ended up taking it on but whoever it was took him down before the charity event even ended. No witnesses and no loose ends left to tie up after.
"I said no...Please Annie just go. You need to stop doing this." Stephanie pleads, her voice cracking at the end.
Right her name was Annie. I was going to start studying the case file after making contact with Stephanie but I got a little distracted with Stephanie's coworker. In my defense she was very, very hot. Long story short I didn't end up studying all the file details. I know enough about what my mission is and how to carry it out but I forgot the minor details like her name and what car she drives.
"Fuck you. I don't need your money anyway." Annie spits back. She stomps away and gets in her car.
