Jim Pov:

I paced around frantically waiting for Toby and Y/n to get here so I could tell them about this crazy amulet. I raised my head, hearing a soft knock. I sped towards the door opening it to reveal Y/n. "Finally!" I let out pulling the boy inside not giving him a chance to speak. I closed the door behind me before sitting him on the couch then taking a seat across from him. "What's wrong? You were kinda panicked when I saw you in town." He spoke his tone one of worry.

"I'll explain everything when Toby gets here." The boy nodded laying down on the couch staring at the ceiling waiting for the redhead to get here.

Y/n Pov:

A few minutes passed when the doorbell rang. I sat up watching Jim open the door for who was obviously Toby. "Now what was so important you interrupted my dentist appointment for?" Toby asked following Jim to the kitchen. I stood joining the two, curious if this had anything to do with what was in the canal.

My suspicions were confirmed when he pulled out a silver amulet with a blue stone in the middle. I moved closer eyeing the amulet suspiciously. "For the Glory of Merlin, Daylight is mine too" He paused when nothing happened, looking at the amulet confused. "It worked last night."

"Are you punking us right now?" Toby asked taking a bite of the pizza he made during the whole exchange. "Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait," Jim said trying to get our attention. He took a deep breath before the device chimed, floating out of his hand. It landed on his chest as his body ascended blue surrounding him. I stared in awe, bits of armor appearing out of thin air before attaching to different areas of his body.

At last, he dropped fully clothed with the armor and armed with a sword. "What? Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! So cool, so cool, so cool!" Toby and Jim freaked together while I stared at the familiar amulet. 'Where have I seen that before?' There was knocking on the window of the back door that broke my train of thought and caused us to turn our heads in that direction. A blue creature with six eyes peered through the window it had just knocked on. "Wh- What- what the heck is that?! Don't open the door!" Toby exclaimed.

I silently prayed W/n heard Toby and was standing by in case those things were a threat. I protectively stood in front of Toby as he climbed on the counter pulling out his phone. The thing managed to open the door on his own and made his way to us. I stood in a defensive stance the closer it got. "I knew it was but a matter of time before the amulet called to us." It directed towards Jim seemingly ignoring us. "Called" to you?" Jim raised an eyebrow confused.

"Actually, no. We've been spying on you." It admitted shamelessly. "That's creepy." I grimaced, feeling uncomfortable even if they weren't spying on me. A bigger troll struggled through the small doorway finally squeezing in. Toby was on the phone with animal control but they hung up on him, 'Not surprised'. "You told your friends about us?" The blue creature pointed at us. "Um, is that a problem?" Jim rubbed the back of his head failing to see the issue. "Master Jim, we trolls have gone to great lengths to keep our existence secret from your kind, lest there be panic." He explained.

"Oh, my gosh, Oh, my gosh, Oh, my gosh, Oh, my gosh," Toby repeated over and over. I've never heard the words 'oh my gosh' used so much in under 10 minutes. "It's all right, Tobes," Jim said trying to calm his panicking friend. "This is my best friend, Toby D." "And this is my friend Y/n." He introduced the both of us.

"He has like 800 eyes. We're going to die." Toby ignored the other's attempts at easing the situation. "It's ok Toby," I reassured helping him down off the counter. "Hardly. Your friend is the Trollhunter. His noble obligation is protective." The troll continued in response to Toby's words when the sound of a car pulling in the driveway put us all on alert. "Oh- it's my mother! Upstairs, quick!" Jim exclaimed running past me while snatching my wrist to pull me with him. I caught a glimpse of white as we headed upstairs. 'Crap' I thought as our group entered the dark bathroom before Jim let me go to slam the door. "Jim? It's me!" Her faint voice could be heard downstairs. "She's not supposed to be home til midnight!" Jim informed.
