Later that day, the Charms lesson started, and now I'm sitting in the class. Listening and writing down what Professor Flitwick is saying. I quite like these classes - when we are actually practising spells rather than writing, that is. And today it seems we are just writing what's on the board and read from the textbook. My hand is cramping from all of this writing. I need to roll my wrist time to time and try to catch up what the teacher's board says before it gets wiped again. The Professor is currently talking in front of the class and pretty much everyone around here has already wrote down everything so far, except me. I've even gave up of writing accurately and the letters are very ugly looking at this point. Urgh, almost done.

While I keep glancing at the board and the notebook in front of me, I won't see how the Ravenclaw couple seats away from me is staring. He then raise his hand:"Professor! Can we see the next text other side of the board, so we can write it down while listening?". What?! My head snaps up from the notebook as in 'are you kidding me'. Professor Flitwick raise both of his eyebrows:"Oh, why of course, Lockhart.". He then swift his wand and board flips around, showing us more of the writing. Everybody else in the room then continues to write down what is says. I look around a bit stressed since I didn't get to write the last five sentences. While turning my head, I happen to lock eyes with the Ravenclaw. He has this slight smirk of the corner of his mouth while staring back, and my eyes narrows at him. Gilderoy.

When the class was over, everyone began to slowly walk out of the classroom. I didn't have to guts to ask the Professor or anyone what the board said, so I could fill the blanks. Now I got some ugly writings in my notebook, and knowing myself, I won't be able to understand what I've tried to write in there. Just my luck. While I keep shoving the books and notepads into the school bag, I keep glaring at Lockhart's way as he's having a conversation with the Charms Professor. Something about a school paper he'd wish to start writing, but hasn't got much of support on it by our Headmaster. Hmph, wonder why that is... Just the thought of his poor attempt of speaking to Dumbledore makes me roll my eyes and quietly do an inhale thru the nose. As soon as I throw the bag over the shoulder and began to head out, the Ravenclaw sees this and rushes after me:"(Y/L).". Little bit taken back, I stop at the entry and turn to look at him with questioning face. Lockhart comes to beside me with this odd look on his face. He's... Smiling at me?

Even we are both in our fifth year and shared some classes along the way, we never really had one on one talk before. So this is a bit weird for him to come after me like this. Still unsure how to act, I continue to walk out of the class while keeping an eye on him. Lockhart runs his fingers thru his golden curls and began speaking while walking beside me:"Listen, I've needed to talk to you.". "Such as?" I ask and look forward. I got the Advanced Potions and don't wanna be late. For a quick second the boy is surprised I'm not swooned by his attention towards me like many girls in our school. But he then clears his throat and keeps on going:"Little bird told me you've been spending time at the Library - at the Restricted Section after classes. Am I right?". "Yes?" I answer, still unsure why is he even talking to me.

We began to walk down the stairs together while there are other students of all ages and Houses passing by. "Well, you see (Y/N) - there is this specific book I'd like to borrow from the Restriced Section..." he explains. "You need the signed note from a teacher for that to give the Librarian." I point out and keep on walking without thinking anything of it. Without me seeing, Lockhart rolls his eyes before raising up that smile up and tries again:"Why yes - yes, but that's only just for the dull formality reasons. You see, believe it or not, even though I am quite popular and loved by many here, the Librarian and some of the teachers here for some reason doesn't trust me anywhere near that specific part of the library. And I believe it's because they are very aware of the power that I already have and what I'm in capable of.". Ah, of course. His favorite subject of all time; himself. Him bragging about his abilities isn't anything new. I actually do remember some of his stories from start to finish since I've heard them so many times over these years. Which is quite a lot considering my poor ability to remember things.

"-/N)?" the Ravenclaw's voice brings me back from my thoughts and I turn my head to look at him. And only now I realize we have made our way all the way down to the dungeons. The door to the Potions classroom is only couple meters away, and I can see how some of the students are entering the room. Guess I caught up deep in my own thoughts while he was talking, I didn't even realize we're already here. "So it's settled then? You'll get the book for me?" Lockhart continues, his blue eyes sparkling. I frown confused and stop walking:"Get... What what now?". He stops as well:"Secrets of the Darkest Art. I've heard it's bound in faded black leather, and it's..-", "N-no, Lockhart. I'm not going to do that. It's forbidden to take anything from there without teacher's permission!". He chuckles and waved his hand so careless:"Ouwh, you don't need to worry about that. No one will ever know. I promise.". Before I can even say anything to that, he continues:"Come now, (Y/N). A favor for a favor. Ask anything you desire and I'll help you with it.". Huh?

Lockhart then began to tell me all about how he'll let me copy all of his notes from the last Charms class and more. Since according to him, he's ahead of the others and already has few essays written down for the next lessons ahead of us. If I'll get him the book, he'd be happy to let me take a look and even take credit from them. With all of his help, I could get better grades and shine whatever class I desire. And for some reason, that actually peeked my interest. But... Too stunned of the offer here, I just keep staring at him. Can't lie - he does have good grades... So he isn't lying when it comes to that. But taking a book from the Restricted Section without the permission? I..- The Ravenclaw gently shoves his notebook into my hands and smiles while leaning closer. "Just think about it, alright?" he whispers softly, then leaves by my side. I glance down and see the notebook. It's very neatly kept. Even the writing on its cover is very beautifully done and very professional looking. The knowledge and power this one holds... For a quick moment, I stare at the notebook until I quickly shook my head and rush to the class with rest of the students.

Right away when I enter the class, I see how the classmates are wandering around the room, slowly getting to their seats while chatting with each other in their usual way. Lily's laugh caught in to my ears as she's talking to one of her Gryffindor friend by their table further away. No idea what they are talking about, but they seem to have great time. This little smile raises up on my lips while watching her. But then, my eyes automatically shifts and I see him... Snape. He's already seated in his usual place, pretending to be reading a book even he's clearly taking these 'sneaky' glances at the Gryffindor's way. Thank Merlin he's sitting all over the other side of the classroom, so I don't haveto deal with him. The fact he told me to bugger off rest of our time in here, I've decided to just do that. I - (Y/N) (Y/M) (Y/L), won't have any contact with that person over there as long as I live!

Professor Slughorn's cheerful, yet calm voice cuts my thoughts and all of the noise in the classroom as he asks everyone to settle down so we can began. For a short moment the room gets filled with the sound of wooden stools getting pulled under the tables and how they drag along the stone floorings. As the classmates goes sit down, I realize that the seat next to me is still empty. I look around a bit. Where's Remus? Without further a do, the Potions Master starts the lesson:"Today, we are brewing The Elixir to Induce Euphoria!". While he start talking more in depth about the potion, I cannot help and keep wondering what happened to Remus. Don't tell me he quit this class! I know we both were struggling last lesson, but that's not a reason to give up. Or... Maybe he got sick and couldn't attend today? Hopefully its the last one. Although, I don't wish him to be sick or any kind..- "...Since this potion is multistage to brew, we will be doing this in pairs. So please, grab a friend and I will be sorting out the ingredients to your brewing station shortly.". In pairs?!

As soon as those words came out of the Potions Master's mouth, the class fills up with light chatter and whispers as the people around me quickly grab their friend and claim their partner to work with. It all happened so fast I didn't get to even make any eye contact with anyone! What do I do now? Everyone seems to have a partner already. Professor Slughorn began to walk around the classroom, handing first ingredients to start with while telling more about what's ahead of us while making the potion. Right when he gets to my table, he sees that I'm without a partner. I don't have the time to say I can do this on my own - or at least try, when his gaze is already traveling around the room. Then he spots something across the room:"Oh, dear. Boys! I don't prefer a group of three.". Hm? I take a glance over my shoulder, and see a group of Slytherins. Don't tell me..-! Slughorn then waved his finger to call one of them here:"Severus, my boy, why won't you come here and partner up with our Miss (Y/N) here?". The look on the Slytherin's and mine drops immediately when we lock eyes across the classroom. NOOOO!!!
