The next day, everything seemed to be alright on my and Snape's part. No one saw us in the library, nor in the corridors last night. However, James and the others weren't as lucky, I heard... Mr. Filch and Mrs. Norris caught them after they knocked down a whole bookshelf - on themselves, and the boys were now put in detention of somekind by their own House leader. What kind of detention? Hard to tell. Everyone here has their own suspicions about what McGonagall is going to do with them. And it's still unclear why they were in the Restricted Section in a first place. Most people said they must've wanted to find a book of somekind that would tell more devilish pranks and tricks. Others said they must've just wanted to mess around, nothing more. Maybe Remus knows something about it? He's after all their best friend. He must know at least something. Not that it's any of my business, but it would be nice to know why they were in there. What were they looking for? And why Remus wasn't there with them?

After the Defence Against the Dark Arts, I walked out of the classroom with classmates. Thoughts of being finding Remus during lunch time when suddenly, with the corner of my eye, I notice the familiar green and red combo walking side by side, coming this away. Snape and Lily. Seems that they are going to have D.A.D.A. now right after the fifth years. He's once again carrying some books and notes in his hands. And by the looks of the pink and red sticky notes that are peeking out of them, they seems to belong to Lily. While walking along the corridor where all the other fifth years are heading, Snape and I happen to make eye contact. My heart jolts and I quickly look away. I'm not sure how to act around him. He does seem to dislike me. And yet, yesterdays events showed he might be alright-kinda guy. What am I saying? "Hello, (Y/N)." Lily's cheerful voice cuts off my thoughts and I turn to look at her.

They both stopped to greet me. Well, she did. Snape just stopped to stand there because of her, and is now staring at me with the usual bored look in his eyes. It somehow feels like he just knows that the book of the Secrets of the Darkest Art is hidden inside my school bag and it's making me nervous. He could turn me in any second. But... 'Consider us even.' The grip around the shabby strap of my school bag tightens and I raise this cheerful smile to match with Lily's:"Hi.". "Heading to next class, I see. What are you having?" her eyes made a quick visit on the bag. I gave hera nod:"Herbology, with Gryffindors.". "Ah, you must be excited then!" she chuckles. Both of my eyebrows raise, unsure what she meant by that:"Hm?". Lily quickly continues:"I could use some tutoring, actually. You could help me with that, (Y/N)! Since you are Hufflepuff and all that. Sticking fingers into a soil has never been my thing.".

There is a pang in my heart. I don't know what to say. I just stare at her with this half opened mouth that has now turned into this awkward smile that tries to be friendly one. 'A Hufflepuff?! Out of all of the Houses?! ...You better not start acting like them!' My chest... It feels so heavy. My throat, it's squeezing in..- Before I could stammer anything out, Snape spoke:"The teacher just entered the class.". Immediately, Lily's head snaps right towards the classrooms doorway:"Oh?". My head also turned towards the classroom and see no one walking in or out of there."Well, gotta go. See you later, (Y/N)!" Lily quickly waved at me and rushed to the Defence Against the Dark Art classroom. For a small moment, I stare after her before turning back to the Slytherin that is now standing in front of me. Then, I lower my gaze and walk past him. I don't need any snarky comments from him at the moment.

Soon after, I'm walking down the stairs, heading towards the Greenhouse. Truth be told, I've never been into Herbology. Sure, it might be one of the subjects I'm ok at, but... As my favorite subject of all time? Heck no. And I'm tired of these assumptions that we Hufflepuffs are into certain things just because that's how we are general speaking characterized. It... Boils me. "(Y/N)." someone called after I got two floors down. "Hm?" I stopped at the bottom of the stairs and turned to see familiar blonde haired Ravenclaw walking along the hallway towards me with bright smile on his face. The mix of disappointment and relief goes through me:"Lockhart. Hi.". He comes up to me while looking every direction to make sure no ones near, then turns to me:"Well?". Knowing what he's after, I start digging into my bag:"Right.". Lockhart has his eyes on the bag, feeling impatient to get the book in his neatly kept hands. He began to wiggle his fingers in one hand:"Come on, give it to me. We got not much time. I should already be heading to Flying class.". I pulled it out of the bag:"Yes, yes. Here you g..-", the book whooshes right above us. Huh?
