'(Y/N)! Come back in here for this instant!', 'No!', 'You ungrateful... BRAT!', 'AH..-!!', 'Please, don..- HAAAAA!' On Saturday morning, I wake up around 10 am. There are couple of girls still fully asleep, so I quietly changed my pyjamas into casual ones and left the room. After using the bathroom and brushing my teeth, I left the Hufflepuff's Common Room for breakfast. I can already smell the delicious food all the way from Great Hall down to the basement. Bacon and eggs, here I come! When I get to the top of the stairs, I notice how many are just wandering around the castle. Just like any other school day. Only everyone's wearing their casual clothes instead of their school uniform. Usually the castle is quite empty during the weekends since most of the people likes to wander around and make visits in Hogsmeade. But... Now that is off the table, everyone is 'packed' inside the castle. The weather is also quite cold now, so no one ever desires to spend their time outside at the yard. I can only imagine the Caretaker's annoyance...

Few moments later, I'm sitting around Hufflepuff's table and eat all of the delicious foods around me while reading the Daily Prophet. Well, better wording would be pretending to be reading the news paper. I just don't wanna sit here and stare into nothing while eating all alone. It would be awkward looking, I guess. While browsing the paper, my eyes caught familiar looking man shaking an older man's hand with big smiles on their faces in one of the articles. 'Harold (Y/L) has made yet another generous donation for the Ministry of M..-', I quickly drag my eyes off of the article and from the picture as this unpleasant feeling shivers down from my chest all the way to toes. Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. For a quick moment I struggle if I should read the whole thing or not. And eventually... I close the whole paper and push it further away.

To distract myself, I raise my gaze up to the enchanted ceiling. Seeing the gloomy grey clouds looming over calms me a bit. There's something so... Soothing about it. Won't take even a minute when I happen to see an owl flying over. Looks like it had just dropped a mail of somekind to one of the students. Wonder if I should write to my aunt... She hasn't wrote me anything since I caught here this fall. Which is unusual from her, since she likes to write every two weeks. Nothing she writes is any specifically interesting or worth of the news that could end up in Daily Prophet - or better yet, to her all time favorite gossip magazine she loves to read - the Quibbler. Among all the other news she tells in her daily life in the Muggle World, she loves to ask what I've learned so far in school and if I have ate enough. And at the end of every letter she writes:'Love, your beloved Aunt-Ruby and Uncle-Will'.

After the breakfast, I walk around the castle. There are few students that walk past me while chatting about how boring it is spend time in the castle during the weekend, and how much they would love to go outside of the castle's groundings and have a butterbeer or two at the Three Broomsticks. Ah, butterbeer does sound good... "No way in hell I'm going to wear something like that!" a voice rasps out all of sudden right around the corner. Hm? "C'mon, Pads. It's not that bad of a punishment. Knowing McGonagall, it could be worse, you know?" Remus's calm voice echoes around the stony walls of the corridor. Hearing his voice catches my interest and my legs stops themselves right away, so I'm only couple steps away from the corner that the group of boys are gathered around. I know, I know, I shouldn't be listening other people's conversations, but... Maybe this has something to do with their adventure at the library and I'll finally get the real answer what they were doing in there?

Sirius keeps on fuming to his friends:"Couldn't she use one of the Unforgivable Curses on me instead? Such a big fuss about some dull Christmas party that is filled with bunch of nerds and arse kissing..-", "Ey, pipe it down, will ya? Not everyone that is going to be there is kissing that old man's ass." James cuts in, sounding a bit hurt. A party? This raises an amused smirk on Sirius:"Still after that Evans, huh?". My eyes widens a bit when my ears caught up the name. Evans? James mutters something that I can't quite hear, so I lean little bit more towards the corner. If I'd just..- "Again listening other people's private conversations, I see." familiar deep voice speaks right behind me. "WAH..-!!" I yelp out of surprise and sharply turned around to see who it is. "Se-Severus..!" I stare at the Slytherin that is standing only a step away.

Can't lie, it's a bit odd to see him in regular clothes instead of the school robes. Only... He's dressed up all black from head to toe, so there's nothing specifically new about him. Hm, I didn't know he had that wide of a shoulders. Just when Snape is about to say something, we hear steps approaching around the corner behind me. "Well, well. Who do we have here?" a voice hums pleased. "Hm?" I turned my head to take a glance over the shoulder, only to see Sirius standing there with his other three friends. My attention immediately goes to Remus, so I fully turned to face the group and smile:"Hi!". For my surprise, Remus doesn't smile back. No. He rather looks... Surprised to see me? I'm not sure. Maybe I'm just imagining things. But something definitely feels off about him.

Before anyone had the time to say anything, I chuckled:"I'm sorry, but I believe we really haven't been introduced. I'm (Y/N). A fifth year. Remus and I go to same Advantaged Potions class every Monday and Wednesday.". They all look a bit off guard when they shift their eyes on me, and that's when I realized they were not talking to me. They were actually talking to the person behind me. Oh! Peter is the only one who makes a gesture to reach his hand for a handshake towards my way, but James is quick to lower Peter's hand by pushing it down without taking his eyes off me and Snape. "You seem to keep yourself busy, Snivellus. Courting other people's girls left and right seems to be everyday for you." James scoffs at the Slytherin. Other people's girls? "With a face like that? No way in hell is he getting some!" Sirius laughs as he points at Snape, followed by James's and Peter's laughter. Eh?? Snape stays silent as he keeps the death stare at the Gryffindors, like he's used to hear insults like that. And for some reason... My heart actually aches for him.

Remus frowns at James's and Sirius's way:"Drop it, you two. How many times do I haveto tell you that I'm not int..-", "So what is says about you, huh?" I narrow my eyes at the bully duo. James and Sirius right away turned their focus back to me, unsure if they heard me right. Even Snape got this small surprised look on his face, but he manages to hide it quite well. I won't take my (e/c) eyes off of the Gryffindors before me:"If it has something to do with looks how many girls you get, how come neither of you have any?". Both of their eyebrows shoots up at the same time. Peter looks at them a bit hesitant, like he's looking for a clue how he should feel about the comment. Remus on the other hand has pursed his lips as in he's trying not to burst out a laugh or show amusement of any kind. "In conclusion, it's your attitude that is the problem here." I huff my final thoughts. Phew, it felt like aunt-Ruby had taken over my mouth there for a second.

Something snapped inside Sirius and he gritted his teeth:"A fifth year like you should know better. Or do we need to hex some sense in you?". Immediately, his words made my heart drop somewhere in the deep and my whole body froze when I saw him reaching for the wand behind his trousers. Peter quickly grabbed Sirius by the wrist to stop the movement and whisper hissed:"Th-there's a teacher right there!". All of the Gryffindors turned their heads and sees how Professor Flitwick is casually walking other side of the hallway to greet other group of students. For a moment they stare at the direction until Sirius scoffs and breaks from Peter's touch:"Tsk! Whatever. I won't be wasting my energy any longer on these loosers. Let's go.". And with that, all four of them left - leaving me alone in the corridor with the Slytherin.

Snape stares after them in silence as long as they left the sight like a guard dog. Then, without a word his focus goes back to me. But I still got my back facing him, so he can't see my the empty look in my eyes. I'm staring into nothing ahead. No matter how much I'd like to turn to him with casual smile and ask if he's okay and what was that all about, I can't bring myself to do so. There is this... Grumbling feeling inside my heart that crawls up to my throat. Just when Snape is about to say something, I choke up and quickly walk away:"S..- orry.". Only the sound of my steps echoes around the place as he watches me go. What I didn't know, is that Snape had his own wand pulled out that is now resting beside him. The hold around the black wand tightens out of this rage he didn't quite understand himself where it was coming from. After all, he's used to James's and others snarky comments over the years. But... Why did it tormented him this time more than ever before?
