"Would joining in on your conversation be rude?" I inquired, leaning against the edge of the ship next to Edmund. He gently took hold of my hand, giving it a soft squeeze.

"Of course not," Caspian laughed.

"I was just telling Edmund how much you have been practising with your weapons. You're just as strong as me now... Maybe stronger..." Caspian muttered, not wanting to admit his baby sister was stronger than him.

I smirked and turned to Edmund. "What I want to know is if you have improved or deteriorated." I teased, with a playful smirk. "I mean it has been over 8 months since you have handled a sword."

Edmund grinned at me.

"I'd say I'm stronger than ever, Your Royal Highness." He teased, making me laugh. Making Caspian grin.

"Shall we test your theory, King Edmund the Just?" He challenged, taking two swords from a crate on deck.

For a moment Ed seemed sceptical. When he saw the smirk on my face he gave me a look and took the sword from my brother.

When the crew began to realise what was happening a couple of men began to gather round to watch the duel.

The two kings began to swing back and forth at one another, smiles plastered on each of their faces. (Caspian was definitely just happy that he actually had a chance at winning for once!)

Caspian swung his sword to the right, but Edmund blocked it with ease. Taking the newfound opportunity Edmund advanced and parried. The motions continued back and forth between the two kings for a good few minutes until their swords crossed at one another's chest in a classic blade lock. It was a tie, the crew all cheered and applauded their King's before they both lowered their blades, smiles spread across both of their faces.

I am so glad that Edmund and Caspian get along so well. They were both overshadowed by Peter but that has made the bond between both Kings stronger. Perhaps if Peter and Caspian had not disliked one another so much in the beginning, the three Kings would have realised how much they have in common a lot sooner.

"You've grown stronger, my friend." Caspian complimented. Edmund glanced around the deck at all the crew before locking eyes with me and smiling.

"Seems I have." He agreed, I rolled my eyes playfully as he grinned.

"My turn." I said drawing my own sword. Despite the fact I am wearing a dress, I'm fairly confident about my odds. The boys glanced at each other smirking, trying to decide who I would battle. I pointed straight at Edmund.

"Are you ready to be defeated, your royal Just-ness? I have beaten Caspian one too many times, it'll be nice to have a real challenge." He raised one eyebrow, his signature smirk present on his face. Caspian just looked offended, he is still not used to his baby sister having more wit than himself.

Just as Edmund was about to retail with a sarcastic remark, Drinian ordered the crew to return to work. He never stopped a duel for Caspian... Why me? Everyone heeded, listening to the commands of their Captain. I handed Edmund a cup of water.

"Oh, thank you." He gratefully accepted, seeming a little disappointed when our duel was called off, drinking most of the water. "We will get our battle later, your Royal Boldness." I laughed and we made our way over to Lucy hand-in-hand, she had been watching the duel alongside Reepicheep.

"Edmund, Gwen?" She began, as we both turned our gaze from the cerulean water, giving the young queen our full attention. "Do you think if we keep sailing to the end of the world we'll just..." Lucy smiled, as though her idea was utterly preposterous. "Tip off the edge?" I smiled. At many points over our voyage, I can't help but wonder about a similar concept.
