My phone vibrates beside my head. I put the book I was reading next to my cushion and pick up my phone. It's a text from Jungkook. A ghost of smile appears on my face as I sit down on the bed as using mobile while lying down can be pretty dangerous for my face.

Jungkook
Hi, it's me. Jungkook.
I just wanted to tell you that I had fun tonight.

Me
Glad that you liked my company. I am always the boring one.

Jungkook
You weren't boring at all.

Me
I liked being with you, too. Btw, it's almost midnight.
Aren't you going to sleep?

Jungkook
I don't like sleeping alone.
My sister hasn't come yet.

Me
Oh
I can keep you company up until then if you want

Jungkook
No, no
She isn't going to take much time
And you were with me for like an entire day now

Me
So... you don't really like my company...

Jungkook
NONONO
I DIDN'T MEAN THAT

I laugh silently. I'm sure he has that panicked face as if he just murdered someone.

Jungkook
I meant that it's late and you had a very long day with your graduation
I didn't mean to bother you

Me
Chill out, Kook
I was just joking

Jungkook
Thank god
My sister is here anyway
I'll talk to you late

Me
Bye

Jungkook
Bye

I turn off my phone and place it beside my head where it was before. I lie down on my right side. That was a very beautiful conversation. I hope we get along fine in the future. Then I close my eyes as I'm really tired.

My alarm goes off, and I open my eyes. It's moring again. I stop the alarm and twist and turn in the bed as I don't want to get up, but eventually, I get up.

"Ugh..." I groan and yawn. Then I go out to make myself a breakfast. I don't know if hyung returned or not. I go upstairs to check on him, but his room is empty. Maybe he's stayed in his father's house.

I don't think too much of it because I don't like the feeling I get whenever that house comes to mind. I go to the kitchen to make myself breakfast. I opt for scrambled egg toast with a cup of milk.

I hurriedly finish breakfast, then wash my teeth, take a shower, and get ready to go out. Since I've finished my school, I told the owner of the store that I'd be doing the morning shift because I don't feel just lying on the bed and doing nothing for an entire morning.

Arriving at the store, I greet the cashier, and she smiles. Then I go to the changing room to put on my work t-shirt, then I start to work.

An hour later, I change my position with the girl; she starts to clean the floor, and I stand behind the register.

"Have a nice day," a woman greets me nicely as I hand her the exchange.

"Same to you. Visit us again," I greet her back and see her walk away.

Now, both of us are alone in the store.

"You know," Chaeha comes to the counter and leans her elbow on it. "So many people came this morning unlike other mornings. Most people come by the evening usually," she says playfully.

"Well... this face is no joke," I wink at her.

"Are you flirting?" She raises an eyebrow, keeping her playful manner.
