Jungkook, where are you taking me?" I ask as Jungkook continues to take me somewhere holding my hand as he has covered my eyes with a fabric.
"A surprise, Tae. Why are you so impatient?" He scolds.
"Okay, okay, sorry."
We walk in silent now. I can sense the smile in his face: he always smiles big when he brings me or surprises me with gifts.
"Careful, there are two steps." I carefully walk down the stairs. Then we stop somewhere. The first thing I notice in this place without looking is the smell. Roses. Has he brought me in a garden of rose. It feels so relaxing, to be honest.
"Here. Sit down." He led me to the chair, and I carefully sat down. Then, he finally removes the fabric. As my blurry vision turns to clear one, I see that I'm in a very astonishing room, filled with small bouquets of roses everywhere. I look around, and there's not only roses, but there are gladiolus, gardenias, and tulips - but roses are the predominant here.
"What do you think about it?" He sits down opposite me.
"Jungkook," I look at him, out of any words. "I, uh... I'm speechless. I know you organized it for me to say something, but I'm truly at a loss of words."
"Don't worry, Tae. My Papa says that some beautiful feelings can not be explained, they're only for your heart to feel. I can see in your eyes that you're happy, and that's enough for me."
How simply he talks yet so deep. I shall always be grateful for this life because it has given me a person like Jungkook.
"By the way, where are we?" I ask as Jungkook kept the blindfold on when we were on his car.
"It's my sister's hotel. She gave me this room for free, and I decorated it," he nicely answers.
"You decorated the room?" I ask, and he nods, confirming.
"Unbelievable!" I exclaims. I don't think it shouldn't be that unbelievable since he's quite a talented artist. "How many hidden talents are you hiding?" I chuckle.
"You'll slowly get to know them." He giggles. "Anyway, I have prepared something for you."
I look at the plate before me, which is covered by a cloche. I remove the cloche to see what's in there. I take a huge breath in as the smell of Pasta. Wow!
"Who made it?" I question, looking at the beautiful view.
"I did. It's the first time I cooked for someone, or I cooked in general. All I knew brfore was how to cook simple ramen," he answers, blushing mad.
"This looks so majestic like someone would serve a royal family," I praise him.
"You think so?" He gets excited.
"I know so. I mean, look at the aroma and how beautifully you cooked it." I point out the obvious.
He hides his face a little to cover his blush to no avail as his entire face is red as a tomato. He might even pass out at this rate.
"I'm so grateful that you think this way," he mutters.
"Shall we eat? I'm starving, honestly."
"Sure." He also removes his cloche, and we start our lunch. I moan at the first bit as so many flavors are in there. I never got to eat a variety of food in the Min house, but I do remember my father taking us in italian restaurants. Still, I don't think I ever ate this pasta.
"What's the name of this pasta? I never ate it before."
"It's called Pasta alla norma. This cuisine's main ingredients are eggplant and ricotta salata cheese, as you can see otherwise the ingredients are the same: olive oil, garlic, and tomato sauce," he explains. I'm amazed.
We continue to eat, and I keep praising him. I ask him if he learned something else too, and he answers saying yes, and that he would love to prepare them for me. When we finished, my stomach was full, but I was still craving more.
"Your hand is magical, Kookie." I lean on my chair.
"Thanks again." He giggles, covering his face again. His laughter is so bubbly. "Anyway, Taehyung." He stands up. "Get up."
"Why?" I feel lazy now.
"We gotta dance," he informs.
I frown. "Dance?"
"Yeah, to digest what we ate."
"That's so sudden proposal coming from you."
"Why? C'mon, let's dance," he sulks. "Or maybe you don't know how to dance." He taunts.
"Hey, hey, be careful. You can't compete me," I warn playfully.
"Then let's dance." He goes to start music. It's soft music made with piano, violin, and cello. I don't know if there are any other instruments used, but that's not my focus. My focus is the sweet melody that is used for ball dance.
Jungkook comes to me, and I get up from my spot. I grin as he takes my hand, and we get to the vacant space next to the table. My heart rate rises up as he wraps his arms around me, giving me the opportunity to hold his petite waist. This is too intimate.
"You know, Taehyung, I feel that you're the perfect person to dance with," he confesses. There's an uneasy feeling inside me that I try to shrug off.
"You're nice, kind, and gentle personality is the most attractive thing about you, and if you ask me about physical features, I'd say your eyes and your moles," he continues. I don't like the way things are going. We're just friends, right?
What is happening to me?
"I want you to accompany me to every ball dance and be my partner, Taehyung. I have waited long to say it, and I'm running out of patience."
Don't. Don't say it, Jungkook.
"I love you."
