We walk out of the amusement park in silent, still holding hand. Jungkook clutches the bunny plush on his chest, pouting deeply. His day's ruined. I must apologize.

The street is silent, and the streetlights aren't working well either. The only thing that shines is the pale moonlight.

"I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry."

We apologize simultaneously and look at each other. Our gazes interlock, and I feel that Jungkook is blushing, but I'm not sure.

"Why are you sorry, Jungkook? I should be the one to say it," I acknowledge. "Today's supposed to be your day only, but my ex ruined all."

"No, Tae. Nothing is ruined. My moments with you were beautiful. I'm sorry that I lost my temper there, but the way she was talking -"

"Jungkook, don't. You did nothing wrong."

"Still, Taehyung. I didn't mean to shout. She's your ex, and I didn't know where you stood with her or how your relationship was. "

"Jungkook," I place my hands on his shoulders. "You listened to her, right?"

He nods cutely.

"So what you were thinking was accurate; I don't like her at all now. She was only interested in money, which I couldn't provide."

"You're so sweet, Taehyung. Why did she insult you like that?" He hugs me to comfort me, but it seems that he needs more comfort than me. I rub his back to soothe him, and he finally calms down.

He grabs my arm and rests his head on my shoulder as we walk very slowly like two sloths.

"Taehyung, do you mind me asking what exactly happened with her?" He asks in his low voice. "Of course, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

Should I tell him? He's been nothing but kind to me ever since we met, and now, I have also learned about his feelings for me. Will he reconsider his feelings if he knows I'm actually a loser?

"I started dating her last year. I found her pretty cute and compassionate, and he was also very popular in my high school. I never asked her out, but it was a blind date set by her friends." As I search through my memory, all the agony comes to haunt me.

"Then what happened?"

"The initial days were beautiful, you know, getting nervous around your lover or feeling butterflies when they hold your hand. I thought we were compatible with each other, but now that I think about it, I don't know if she felt the same thing or not."

"What did she do?"

"She would constantly throw tantrums about not having expensive gifts, or she would always think that if I'm not picking up her calls, that means I'm cheating. She manipulated me a lot, and like a fool, I never questioned my feelings."

He holds my hand , and his cheek is pressed on my shoulder.

"You're not a fool, Tae. You were exploited. Some things happen which are out of our control."

"You're right about it. Just like I couldn't control her feelings for my step-brother brother and how she cheated on me."

He stops and stands straight, still holding my hand. He looks at me, perplexed.

"What do you mean, hyung?" He questions.

"During our ten month anniversary, I caught them making out."

"Oh, no," he breathes. I knew it'd be shocking to him, but it's too much of a reaction. "I thought she broke up with you then started to date your step-brother."
