Jimin attentively hears everyone matters in the hall before providing them solution. From the last two years, he had taken the responsibility of court after the late king died. He was barely 16 when the high priest gave him the responsibility of the kingdom, knowing the purebred omega had potential to run the empire.

But, as Jimin started looking after empire affairs, he got more distance from his close one. Yoongi, Namjoon, Hoseok, and Yoseoki have been banished from the palace after some incidents with Yeonjun; at that time, Jimin was busy handling the empire with his broken heart, not knowing the incident happening behind his back.

When Jimin personally went to get them back to the palace, his friends refused to come back, causing Jimin to give another heartbreak. After Jungkook has left for war, Jimin has gotten closer to his husband's hyung, but seeing their rejection, Jimin's omega felt another heartbreak.

Everyone who's close to him had left him, causing Jimin to get cold-hearted and grow quite day by day. He would look after the kingdom and then wait in front of his chamber's window, hoping his alpha would come back.

His thoughts were broken by the loud sound of a drum. Jimin looks at the advisor, asking what's the matter.

"Choi Empire Messenger is here."

The advisor said, and Jimin's heart raced, thinking it's something news related to his husband.

"Let them in immediately."

Jimin said, and the guard on the door let's the messenger in.

"What message do you have for me?"

Jimin asks, eyes sparkling after years, hoping against hope it's something related to his husband.

"Emperor Choi greets you."

The messenger started reading that Jimin's cut him off, causing everyone in the court to look at the queen, but they didn't make any comment.

"Come to the point directly."

Jimin said, and the messenger gulps before nodding his head.

"Emperor Choi, once again needs help as the Park Empire has attacked them."

The messenger said, causing Jimin's hope to be shattered. His face hardened as he looked at the messenger.

"Tell your emperor no help will be sent to him as the Park Empire is our allies, and I had already lost everything when last time our empire helped them."

Jimin said, causing everyone in the court to look at him.

"But queen, we never let anyone go empty handed."

The advisor said, and Jimin looks at the beta.

"Then let's break that norm. Sometimes, we need to break our own norm and stand on the right side."

Jimin said before dismissing the court.

Jimin gets ready into his white hanfu, wanting to visit the only place that makes his racing heart calm. The waterfall where he and his husband always used to meet up. He locks his chamber, not wanting anyone to enter without his absence. Jimin doesn't want anyone to touch his husband's belongings.

"Jimin."

Jimin stopped in his tracks and looked at the older omega.

"Yes, eomma-nim."

Jimin asks, looking at Yeonjun, particularly his neck, where Jimin's fingerprints are clearly visible. Does Jimin regret choking the omega? The answer is no.

"On what basis you took today’s decision? My father needs help, and you refused. How could you? Immediately send 100 troops of the army."

Yeonjun said, eyes fixed on the big and Jimin's jaw clenched.

"We wouldn't be sent any help. Your father’s empire is at fault this time. I had looked into the matter, and emperor Choi’s army has attacked on Park’s empire village and abused their omegas. As a queen and omega, your father's empire deserves this attack. Hope, victory will be Park's."

Jimin said before walking away, causing Yeonjun to glare at the omega's back.

"I had tolerated you enough. I need to show you your palace."

Yeonjun gritted to himself before walking towards his son’s chamber.
