"i never thought i would be doing this on my own.. I don't want to do this on my own!" Anita groans at the nurse as she wheels her towards the maternity ward.
"you're not alone. You got the nurses.. and i called your mother." the nurse said, in a soothing tone.
"yeah, like she's going to care. *Breaths heavily* She'll be at work, she thinks i'm stupid for getting myself in this position, seeing as i only told her last night.." The nurse pulls a sympathetic face but doesn't respond.A few hours later, Anita's mother walks into the hospital, rather casually. The nurses seemed surprised. Anita's aunt came running out of the elevator just as her mother began walking to Anita's room.
"oh my god! where is she? Pick up the pace grandma..!! " Her aunt screeched frantically. She burst into Anita's room, giving her a shock awakening.
"what the hell...? Auntie, how did you get here?"
"your mother called me, said you was in labour.. well said you was pregnant then that you was in labour, i ran and got the next train here."
"From manchester..? thats crazy, its like a 3 hour ride! why would you do.. - the baby begins crying-
Anita's mother walks in with some coffee for the three of them, strolling over to Anita's side without glancing at the baby.
"you okay jaba? i really wish you would have told me sooner. i ..."
"mother, don't. Im too tired for this talk right now. Alright.."
Her aunt brings the baby over, placing it into Anita's arms.
"you named it yet?" her aunt inquired.
"i'v thought about it.. i feel bad admitting it, but at first i wanted to call her charlie.. with it being the nickname for the demon child and thinking back to when i announced that she existed she seemed to trigger a chain reaction of death to people i cared about. But it was too cruel to do that, so i opted out on that option. I guess if she was a boy i would have named her after her father, but she isn't and i cant exactly call my baby girl Ben can i .. So i thought that seeing as Anna would have only just ended up being her godmother in the end anyways, ill name her after her.
she may have caused me a lot of trouble and stress, and in the end, lots of tears, but she was also the reason i got the chance to get close to Ben, she gave me confidence and happy memories. oh, so many memories. She was my weird and wonderful friend."
"i'll cheers to that." her aunt commented, raising her cup of coffee.
" to Anna." All three of them called in unison, raising the coffee cups to the air.the nurse walked in.
"so.. -she checked her notes- Anita Rollinson, have we got a name for little miss?" indicating to the baby with her pen, who was still in Anita's arms. Anita smiled and nodded, she looked to her baby,
"Anna Sandra Rollinson."
"Beautiful.."
