Their night extended with kisses and passionate embraces, indulging in each other until exhaustion prevailed. Eventually, she nestled herself into his shoulder, snoozing.
What they didn't know was that Vinnie had become very obsessed lately and had installed cameras in her apartment. She woke up in the morning drinking her coffee when she spotted the cameras. Marco rose up going to the kitchen as she pulled him to the hallway where no cameras were, whispering.
"He is insane, that bastard is insane. He has installed cameras in almost my whole apartment except this hallway. I destroyed the bedroom microphone and the one that was nested in the kitchen. If I destroy them all, he will know that I know" She is anxious and horrified. "In a couple of hours, he will know about you and me and you're going to be in danger". She gently brushed her fingers through her hair, pushing it back.
"Destroy them all. If he gets mad, then you remind him of your right to privacy under Mafia rules given your position as intel and information. If he gets angry then I'll snap his neck myself. Installing cameras is enough to get him excommunicated from the family altogether, especially since they are in your apartment." He replies, feeling his anger welling up but forcing his face to remain neutral. "I'll go in now and delete all footage of our activities from these cameras. We need to bring this up with the rest of the family."
"Wait calm down, you're furious and I'm afraid you will harm him" After holding him with her she let him go watching him exiting with an air of vexation.
She destroyed the cameras one by one by crashing them with her boots, every stomp was louder than the other showcasing her anger. She entered her closet and picked out an outfit.
As she stepped into Vincenzo Romano's office, her anger surged, apparent in the way her veins seemed to pulse beneath her fair, delicate skin. She dropped one of the cameras that was intact in front of his desk surface as she looked at him for a couple of minutes without uttering a word. When Marco went into the building he could feel the rage building inside him, but he kept a very cold and marble-like appearance on the outside. He was standing after the door taking small perimeter walks waiting for a signal to barge in, he had trust in her and her handlings, so he didn't make any rushed movements. After a lot of silence, some screams were heard and the last sentence that was uttered was this:
"If you dare to hit me, I will destroy you and your little shop." He had laid his hands on her, but he was on the floor, and she was holding a gun as her lips and face were bleeding.
When Marco heard the commotion from the office he made a b-line there with several other guards joining. "Exits and entrances!" He barks at them. "I don't want anyone leaving or entering without my knowledge!" When they had dissipated, he knocked on the door to the office, cracking his neck and waiting for a reply.
"Come in" she murmured as he was on the floor terrified like a drenched cat, his legs curling up close to the desk leg as he was trying to stand up on his feet without testing her patience. Bella was standing with the shotgun on top of Vinnie as her lips were busted full of blood whilst her nose had some light scars.
"I will fucking kill you bitch, you had the audacity to sleep with him. Who do you think you are to humiliate the boss of Romano's like that? People saw us out together; you had the opportunity to connect your name with mine and that's what you do? Opening your legs to a faceless, nameless hitman. What can he give you? He has no money, no legacy." he ranted over and over in complete agony.
Marco enters the office and closes the door behind him. "Vinnie, all footage of your crime has been backed up and sent to the other members of the Family. They are to decide upon the next course of action, however you will most likely be excommunicated from the Family. And when that happens, I will be sent after you. You cannot run. You cannot hide. Your name means nothing. But worst of all, you have no merit to stand on." He says, looking down at the man, keeping his face completely impassive.
