Coraline and Wybie were ahead of the 5 day limit, but also almost half way through the game. They noticed a pattern by now, realizing that a piece of the wand was hidden in different sections of the other world. If one piece was in the attic, another in the basement, and one in the other apartment, maybe one was definitely in the garden. Coraline and Wybie agreed to search the garden, knowing that it must be somewhere in the bridge. A breakfast buffet was set out on the dining room table, and the clock outside said it was only 5:00 in the morning, so they had time to eat, knowing that they would need their strength.

After breakfast, the clock read 6:30. Coraline and Wybie raced out to the garden to start searching the bridge. Wybie jumped into the pond underneath it, swam under the bridge to start looking while Coraline searched the top. So far, neither of them found anything. "It should have been here." Coraline whispered to herself as Wybie climbed out of the pond. "Is there something else made of wood around here?" Coraline looked around the garden. "Not that I can see." Both of them felt like stopping for a moment to think until Wybie noticed a wooden table in the greenhouse.

"Over there! Maybe it's in the table." Coraline and Wybie went into the greenhouse to search the table. Sure enough, the wand piece was under the table, making up one of the legs. Coraline ripped it off, then almost had it in her bag until it jumped away. It rolled its way outside, then went underground. Coarline and Wybie started to dig for it when they came across a skeleton! Coraline screamed as Wybie gagged, almost throwing up. "It's one of the previous beldams." The fairy's voice said. "Florence put an end to her when she took her daughter." "This beldam killed Florence's daughter?" The fairy spirit giggled. "Yes. How do you think Florence became my beldam? If one beldam is dead, the murderer shall be placed under the black curse as a replacement, and punishment."

Coraline and Wybie ignored it. "Will you stop making it so hard for us? You're practically cheating!" Wybie asked, clearly frustrated. "I told you, it would be fun to watch you fail, and so far, I'm rather entertained, not just by your failure, but by the orders I've given my beldam." A swirl of clouds appeared, then showed Cypress tied to the table that Phoenix was tied to. The beldam was at the table side, fitting buttons on to Cypress's face. "Fight it Florence! Don't give in!" Suddenly, Florence turned to Coraline, who froze. Florence had a look of "I'm sorry" as well as "Help me" on her face. "She can hear us." The fairy spirit turned into a large, scary looking black cloud. "Get back to work!" It roared. Florence cowered at the sound of the angry fairy spirit, and immediately started working again.

Coraline understood now. Florence didn't want to do anything she was doing. Maybe she really loved Coraline, and the other kids, but the evil fairy wouldn't let her love them, and made her take their lives. "You won't get away with this!" Coraline snapped, turning towards the fairy spirit. "Don't be silly Coraline Lovat, I already have." It cackled lightly, then disappeared. Coraline and Wybie kept digging, past the skeleton of the previous beldam before Florence, and found the wand piece. Coraline reached for it, but it disappeared. Both Coraline and Wybie groaned in fear. "We need some kind of help." Coraline says.

Suddenly, a white light appeared in the ground. When it disappeared, a white wand appeared. Coraline went to grab it, and picked it up. "How do we use it?" Wybie asked. Coralien gave it a wave towards the ground where the black wand disappeared, and the black wand rose from the ground. "Grab it!" Wybie went after it, and grabbed it, putting it in Coraline's bag. The thunder roared again, just above the forest only about 75 feet in front of Coraline and Wybie. Another image of the kids appeared. Phoenix was chained to a stake with his button eyes, and head wound bleeding. Cypress was on the table with one button eye and the other one being sewn in. Archer was screaming, knowing he was next. The evil fairy giggled. This made Coraline and Wybie angry and determined. If they defeat the fairy spirit, the kids, Florence and themselves will all be set free.

Coraline took the wand pieces out, and put them together. "3 down, 2 to go." The wording was clearer, but Coraline and Wybie still had no clue what it was saying, or what spell it was. "We'll worry about it later. For now, let's just see if we can get the next piece of the wand." Wybie says, taking the pieces from Coraline and putting it back in her bag. Suddenly, the garden ground beneath them started turning into liquid. Coraline and Wybie fell through before they could start running. They swam towards what they saw as the surface, and ended up in the middle of nowhere. "Coraline!" Wybie called. "Wybie! Where are you?"

It was almost as if they were in the middle of the ocean. Coraline held her bag closed, making sure not to lose the 3 wand pieces, then pulled out the white wand. She gave it a wave, and it gave her a boat. She pushed the paddles, and found Wybie. He pulled himself in, then started rowing around until they found land. They were somewhere else in the other world, but not where they needed to be. "The spirit is trying to slow us down. We're far from the other pink palace." Coraline says. "Oh great." From above, the fairy spirit giggled evilly to himself, knowing that he just slowed down the couple.

Coraline and Wybie started making their way through the woods ahead of them, being careful not to miss any clues of the 4th piece of the wand, or any signs of creatures nearby. They weren't sure how far away from the other pink palace they were, but they knew they were far. The woods were spookier than they were before, and the clock in the sky read 8:00 P.M. This made Wybie angry. "You evil fairy! We're going to take you down!" He yelled towards the sky. The evil fairy just giggled again. "You're rapidly running out of time. Hurry along Why-Born and Coraline Lovat, or you'll never see your children again." Coraline and Wybie looked at each other in fear, then continued through the woods. They agreed to go in a straight line until they saw the other pink palace. The fairy's thunder roared again, 50 feet ahead of them. They were getting close.
