Coraline stood in front of the mirror in her long white gown. It had a blue ribbon in the center with blue lace on the sleeves and bottom of the skirt. Her blue hair had since been washed away, but her long brown hair was pulled back into a bun with blue roses. Her veil reached the floor in the back, and the front went down to her waist. "Oh my twitchy-witchy girl, you look so beautiful." Coraline's relationship with her parents had greatly improved. She looked over at Mel, who wiped away a tear. "Wybie is a lucky young man." Mel adds.
"Well, I think it's time we got this wedding on the aisle." Charlie says, holding out his hand to Coraline. "Alright, let's go." Coraline took his hand, Mel held on to Coraline's other arm, and together, they exited the room, and headed towards a large courtyard. Coraline and her parents stood outside a set of double doors just as "Beautiful One" by Jeremy Camp started playing on the large speakers. It was the origional version that Coraline loved so much. Two people opened the doors, and Coraline began walking down the aisle with her parents. Her bridal party watched broadly.
Wybie stood at the alter with the biggest smile Coraline had ever seen. Little did she know that she was smiling as big as Wybie had ever seen too. Everyone's eyes were on Coraline the whole time. Wybie's grandmother sat in the front row, smiling with tears in her eyes. She had seen Coraline as an honorary granddaughter ever since she told her all about the Beldam and what happened to her sister. When Coraline and her parents reached the alter, Wybie lifted Coraline's veil, Charlie and Mel kissed her on the cheeks, then Charlie let her go, as Wybie took her arm. Everyone sat down as the ceremony began.
All throughout the ceremony, Coraline and Wybie couldn't think of anything more perfect. They defeated the wicked Beldam together, realizing that their friendship meant something a little more than what it first seemed. After finishing school together, and staying together throughout college, they had nothing but a great future ahead of them. "Do you, Wybie Lovat, take Coraline Jones to be your lawfully wedded wife?" The pastor asked. "I do." Wybie answered. Wybie's posture had changed greatly. He was stood taller and prouder, and he wasn't as anxious as he used to be. It seemed like being with Coraline boosted his confidence. "And do you, Coraline Jones, take Wybie Lovat to be your lawfully wedded husband?" "I do." "Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Wybie and Coraline didn't even wait for the pastor to finish his sentence. They kissed almost immediately, and everyone in the courtyard roared with applause.
The wedding moved inside to a large ballroom. Coraline and Wybie made a grand entrance with all the guests throwing rice at them. Dinner was being served, and while everyone was eating, the wedding party was given the chance to give their speeches. Coraline's maid of honor was one of her best friends from Michigan, River. "Coraline, you and I grew up together. When you moved here to Ashland, I thought Chad and I wouldn't survive without your outgoing personality. However, we've managed to stay very close friends. I'm so happy for you and Wybie and may your marraige be only happy and loving. I love you Loper!"
Wybie used Chad as his best man since he had met him and River when they visited Coraline that summer, and every summer since. "Coraline, Wybie, you two are the most ironic couple ever. While Wybie is funny and always being a wise guy, Coraline is the serious one, but you know what they say, opposites attract. I met Wybie the summer River and I visited Oregon for the first time after Coraline moved, and we found out the Wybie was a pretty cool guy. I just wanna say to Wybie, that River and I both appreciate you taking care of our loper! You two have a bright future ahead of you. Congratulations! We love you both!"
Coraline and Wybie held hands and smiled at their friends, then each other. Once dinner was over, Wybie's grandmother tapped her spoon on her wine glass. Everyone stopped what they were doing, and turned to her. "I'd like to propose a toast to my grandson and new granddaughter-in-law. May their future be happy and full of blessings. To Wybie and Coraline Lovat." All the guests lifted their glasses. "To Wybie and Coraline Lovat." When the music started, Wybie immediately took Coraline by the hand and started dancing with her to every song.
When the first slow song came on, all the guests stepped off the dance floor to let Coraline and Wybie dance together for the first time as a married couple. This evening couldn't have gotten more perfect for Coraline and Wybie. At the end of the song, the newlyweds kissed. It must have been closer to 8:00 or 9:00 when Wybie and Coraline decided to take a walk back out to the courtyard. There was a waxing gibbous in the sky with a few clouds and stars. "The sky looks no different from that night, eh Jonesy?" Wybie asks. Coraline thought for a moment. "I think it's time to put that behind us. Also, I'm not really 'Jonesy' anymore, am I?" Wybie giggled. "I guess not. You're mine now." Wybie kissed her on the temple. "From now on, we'll remember this view of the sky as 'the day our future changed for the better.'" Wybie added. "I like that much better." Coraline and Wybie sat outside for a few more minutes enjoying the warm summer air until they decided to go back inside.
The night continued to be perfect. Coraline and Wybie had so much fun dancing with their friends, each other, their families and their guests. When it came to cutting the cake, Wybie and Coraline romantically fed each other their slices. It was a multi-flavored cake, with each layer being a different flavor. Coraline and Wybie got the raspberry layer. At the end of the wedding, Coraline and Wybie left in a limousine. The large sign on the back said "just married" and it was the happiest moments of their lives. As the car drove away under the moonlight, Coraline and Wybie held hands, then kissed.
