MIKHA'S POV
I looked at my reflection once again before exiting my hotel room.
Tonight is my grandmother's birthday party, and the theme is masquerade.
I took a deep breath, my eyes catching the fiery red of my newly dyed hair as it framed my face.
Hindi ako nagsuot ng salamin ngayon kaya litaw na litaw ang itsura ko.
I looked at myself from head to toe and couldn't help but smile.
Why so attractive, Mikha Lim?
My outfit was just as striking as my hair.
I adjusted the collar of my black tuxedo, which was perfectly tailored to my frame. Underneath, I wore a deep red shirt that matched the vibrant color of my hair, and I paired it with a sleek red tie.
At first, nagulat ako nung binuksan ko 'yong pinadalang box ni Dad para sa susuotin ko.
I was expecting to wear a dress, but I received a message from him saying na mas bagay daw sa kulay ng buhok ko.
I know may nakasunod na naman sa'kin kahapon na tauhan n'ya, kaya updated agad s'ya na nagpakulay ako ng buhok.
I just shrugged my thoughts off at tumingin ulit sa salamin.
The combination was both bold and elegant.
With a final look, I confidently smirked at my reflection as I grabbed my phone and mask, then exited my room.
As I walked down the hallway, thoughts of Aiah crept into my mind hanggang makarating ako sa sasakyan.
Buong biyahe, siya ang tumatakbo sa isip ko.
I know it's weird and I'm starting to doubt myself, pero hindi ko mapigilan isipin siya, lalo na when she called me yesterday and acted like a totally weird creature.
I didn't notice na kanina pa ako nakangiti.
Kaya when I saw my own reflection sa rearview mirror ng kotse and the driver kept giving me a weird look, I quickly turned into a poker face.
I'm expecting to see her tonight, but I'm not planning to introduce myself or whatever dahil baka magtaka siya kung anong ginagawa ko sa event.
When I arrived at the grand ballroom, the party was already in full swing.
Maraming bisita na akong nakita and I'm a hundred percent sure na puro ito mga businessman.
I also noticed how tight the security was.
Kinabahan pa ako kung papasukin ako, but when I approached the entrance, the guard just gave me a polite smile.
I know that my father already instructed them.
Guests with their elegant dresses and suits filled the room, at lahat nakasuot ng iba't ibang klase ng mask.
The atmosphere was lively, with music playing softly in the background and the sound of laughter echoing throughout the hall.
Nilibot ko ang tingin sa bahay ni Lola, malaki naman talaga kaya no wonder kung pa'no nagkasya ang nga bisita na almost 300 pips, I guess?
I spotted Lola at the center of it all with my parents and my grandparents on my mother's side together with Lolo, surrounded by her close friends.
Gusto kong lumapit sa kanila, but I couldn't just walk up to them and greet my Lola, not without drawing attention.
Baka magtaka ang iba nilang kasama and it would raise questions.
