"My regret is not regretting the fact that I don't regret my actions, which any sane person would have regretted."

=================

Finally, it was Amelia's birthday. For people it might be a birthday of the pack's third-in-command's daughter, but I myself have been dreading about the outcome of this day. Out of all our friends Alex was the one who had been sulking the most. He seemed way too lost these few days. As things stand Blade was busy sorting through the chaos, few of the pack members knew.

I had woken up early to lend them some hands into the preparation. Alex being Alex walked into Sarah's room where she was sleeping, he wanted to prove his previous statement, "Sarah sleeps like a ghost." I mean anyone breathing stirs in their sleep so what did he mean? He even had me follow him into Sarah's room and I was amused to find how perfectly she slept. Honestly speaking she would have been the best candidate to play sleeping beauty, I won't blame him for calling her ghost. But Amelia could have accepted that, that leaves me wondering why she had suggested Alice. Maybe because Sarah was shortest among us since she was 5'3 or maybe because she didn't have a date.

"NOOOOO! YOU SON Of a SandwiCh! WHY DID YOU COME WAKE ME UP TODAY TOOOO!" Sarah's sudden burst catches me off-guard.

She somehow manages to stand on her bed with her blanket still wrapped around her.

"Oh, Shit. Three days in a row, I would rather die." Alex hisses as Sarah had already slapped him hard on his head.

"GET THE Duckling HELL OUT! YOU STUPID GOOD FOR NOTHING CUSTARD!!!" Sarah screeches while she makes her way to the bathroom brushing her messy ash Moe-streaked hair out of her face that she had had cut shorter few days ago. I did not know whether to keep quite or burst out laughing over her usage of words that made no sense yet managed to convey her displeasure.

Alex sighs and nods at me to follow him out. Surprisingly Alex hadn't retorted at her outburst and that had me wondering about these weird stuffs that's been happening ever since I met these people.

I stare at Alex for the further explanation to be only met with a sheepish grin on his face. He really loves to irritate people around him. It did not seem like I was getting any answer, hence I just wait silently for Sarah to come out which without a doubt is not happening any time soon. That is why I decide to head towards the 'Rogue Castle' Where the Party is being held.

The preparation was going too well, and the wolves were all looking forward to the costume party. As we were setting up the stage, I see Sarah enter with a very visible scowl on her face.

"Hey." I call out to her.

"Yo." Is all she says. That pressures me to ask her about the events of the morning. Before I could ask, she presents the answer herself.

"I don't actually know how it works, but seeing Alex first thing, three mornings in a row ruins my day. Every single time." She complains, still scowling.

"Oh... Like what really happens?" I counter curiously.

"I end up meeting one or two of the members on my 'Never Meet Again List'. And I would rather never see them again." She answers with a huff, displeasure clearly visible on her face.

"Oh, I get it now. There are always people you hate; you just wish you never see them again." I inform while pictures of such people appear on my mind.

"That's not it. There are people you may not hate but still wouldn't want to.... " She trails off never completing the sentence. And before I could ask her Blade's presence captures my attention. I turn around to look at him while Sarah follows suit.

I stare at those ocean-like orbs. I learnt that he used some portion that was from some witch that only worked 24- hours at the most. Sometimes it wouldn't be as effective, perhaps due to his ability and wouldn't be able to change the original color and that is when he ends up using an eyepatch or sometimes both eyes would turn blue while leaving some patches of golden in them due to which he usually ended up wearing sunglasses even in some events held in the evenings.

He then decides to take a look at the arrangements and moves away after greeting three of us including Alex who proceeds to discuss some pack- related issues and my focus turns towards Sarah.

She without a doubt was ready to be showered with questions because she had some kind of power to read people, and her intuition was something to be amused.

"It's just a hunch but is it possible that this is related to your virg-" I am cut off with her following words.

"Maybe, or maybe not. Like, it might be the regrets." Sarah whispers the last part as she stares off into the space.

"Just wondering the oh very carefree Sarah has  regrets?" I question further trying to quench my growing curiosity. I know I might be poking into her personal life but it was already too late to be worrying about it.

"My regret is not regretting the fact that I don't regret my actions, which any sane person would have regretted." Saying that she moves towards something that had caught her attention, perhaps that was a sign for me stop questioning. Her phrasing has always amazed me. I couldn't really comprehend the meaning behind her words.

But this only made me more curious but I knew better. So, I try helping the werewolves with their preparation. And I can only hope that God has something digestible in account for us in the near future that could bring ruin to our pack or bring blessings. Remembering the words Sarah had said before, 'With every good comes evil and with every evil comes good.' And that too wasn't as easy to understand either.
