King and Lionheart

The Doctor was a natural-born leader.

Even when in a group, or if there was already authority, most looked to him instead.

Either that, or he commanded it.

He commanded the information from the enemy, from the ally, from anyone.

He gathered respect just by being himself and it's a wonderful thing to see.

Wren had taken to copying him, gathering the same respect he had just by acting a little bit like him.

It was concerning how often people (mostly humanoid races) looked for authority in everything they did.

But Wren used it as an ego boost (whether intentional or not) and the Doctor used it to gain information (he wasn't really one for proper leading).

Almost like a fairytale around the universe.

The 'general' and his second-in-command.

Both build respect from stories (though how those haven't been corrupted yet is beyond most) and both know.

They're aware of how influential they are.
