The Doctor had always made sure the TARDIS was clean, just for appearance's sake.

Well...he tried. And that's all that mattered, he supposed.

If he invited someone in, he wanted them to know the TARDIS was a safe place.

There was the no gun rule, which he'd upheld quite well all things considered (until Mels, but that's another story), and the inclusion thing too.

He tried to make a point to include everyone, no matter how insignificant he thought them to be.

Wren loved this, though she did try fixing it up a bit (the rules) and...the Doctor was not so sure if she knew they're for her.

To make sure the one person that matters most to him was safe and sound. Protected, as long as she was near him.

He had always tried to be kind and keep his temper in check, so as to not scare her away, and so far it'd worked.

Though...Wren seemed determined to tease the anger out of him, just to get a reaction. Amy used to do the same sometimes.

What was it with humans?
