Sometimes he accidentally lashed out at (his companions, Wren, anyone) people who tried to make a comparison.
Usually it only happened with humans, or human-like species, since he looked oh, so similar.
Wren'd done it before, made the mistake of comparing herself to him. It's only a reminder of how little he has left.
His sonic (was that even from Gallifrey?), his TARDIS, and himself (and the Master, technically), and that was all.
He usually snapped, told them off—told her off—and Wren...well, being the headstrong idiot she was, she argued back.
It always ended in a heated argument in which the Doctor yelled about how he was better, he was more, he was everything.
While she was nothing more than a speck in history.
(Not true, but he was mad).
