It had been a full month since Jason's training started and he couldn't believe the difference he'd made with that time. Granted most of that time he'd had his hands tied behind his back, but he truly felt ready to take on just about anyone. He left Mao Ka Long's tea shop for the first time in what felt like forever, but he noticed something a little odd. Normally Chinatown's streets were bustling, but now Jason saw almost nobody outside.

"Sad isn't it. There's been a new gang appearing in Chinatown, and while this isn't the first time some upstarts have tried taking control from me this group is certainly the strongest. Even with Eiji and Amato's men staying in Chinatown this group has held us at a standstill. People have been staying inside as much as possible because frankly it's safer right now." Mao Ka Long explained as he exited his tea shop.

"Is it Nephilim's doing?" Jason asked. Mao just nodded having already guessed the same thing.

"Most likely. He probably wants to divide the 4 gangs so we can't attack him as one massive group. Eiji will be preoccupied with Minato, I'll be dealing with this group, and I believe I know what's going to happen with Mirko and Amato as well." Mao Ka Long said as Jason took in the information.

"Did we give him too much time to plan?" Jason asked wondering if the training took too long.

"No. Nephilim's paranoid, and I believe this plan was set up probably before the party. He just had to give the signal. But enough of the depressing stuff go talk to Miles he found something very interesting." Mao said as Jason nodded and went to the office building. As he approached he saw Amato's men stationed outside. They recognized him and let him through without a problem, and as he neared the lab he saw Double Trouble stationed outside.

"Hey guys." Jason said as he approached the brothers.

"Sup Jay. Training's finished? You look good." Luis said as Jason smirked. He felt better than ever, and honestly for the most part he felt invincible.

"Yep time to take the fight to Nephilim. So what's Miles been working on?" Jason asked as Marco smirked.

"That kid went digging through Nephilim's dirt like a groundhog. We'll let him show you what he dug up." Marco said as they let Jason into the lab. He saw Miles sitting at a computer scrolling through various reports and documents.

"Damn you really did go groundhog. So what'd you find?" Jason asked as he walked towards Miles. Miles turned and Jason saw how bloodshot his eyes were, and the dark bags under his eyes. It looked like he hadn't slept for a week.

"Jason. Has it been a month already? Whatever either way come here and look what I found." Miles said as Jason walked over and saw the documents on the screen. Well he saw a pair of documents in particular and Jason's eyes widened.

"Holy shit. This could be huge for us, but without proof that the Mayor is Nephilim does this even matter?" Jason wondered as Miles smirked.

"Leave the proof to me. If there's any way of proving the Mayor's true identity I'll find it. Either way it wouldn't hurt to go and show this card early." Miles said as Jason thought it over. There really wasn't a big downside to using this knowledge now.

"Guess I'm off to the police station." Jason said as he left the office building. He had seen a few other interesting documents on the computer like one about a girl named Xia Chiu. When Jason got to the police station in Downtown he asked to speak with Vincent Gordon. After a few minutes he was led to an office in the bullpen area that had shuttered windows overlooking the rest of the bullpen. Inside Vincent Gordon sat behind his desk, and when he saw Jason walk in he didn't even try to hide his disgust.

"Walker. What're you doing here?" Vincent said as Jason sighed. He'd been expecting this kind of reaction after all he was certain Vincent Gordon hated him more than he hated most gangsters.

"I'm just here to find out one thing, and to tell you something. First things first though do you know what kind of man Mayor Piers is?" Jason asked as Vincent Gordon looked at him like he was crazy.

"Of course. He's the Mayor who's going to help me exterminate you and all the other lowlifes in this city." Vincent said as Jason was internally smiling. If Vincent Gordon knew of Nephilim's true nature then he wouldn't hide it. Now that Jason was at least mostly sure that Vincent Gordon was in the dark about the Mayor it was time to plant a seed of doubt in him.

"You're wrong Gordon. Norman Piers isn't going to help you get rid of the gangs. Remember that bombing a few months back that almost killed the gang leaders and put my sister in a coma? After investigating it myself I learned the truth. Mayor Norman Piers is actually a legend in the underworld called Nephilim. He was a close friend of my father's. When we got close to solving the bombing Nephilim sent a killer after Miles Rosemary who was helping me look into the issue. I believe he's also the one who Minato Kazama answers too. At Nephilim's order Minato forced out Eiji Kazama from the Harbor area. While we were at the party a month ago it seems Nephilim had his people plant explosives around Downtown while Alexander Amato and his men were away." Jason said. He decided to lay all of the current stuff out first and leave the big shock for the end. After all he didn't expect Vincent Gordon to believe him yet. This was just to plant the seed of mistrust, so Jason wanted to leave the incident with the biggest impact for last.

"You're insane the Mayor's done nothing but help rebuild this city and help it recover from the damage you and the gangs have caused it. Now if you're just here to badmouth Mayor Piers then leave. If I had physical proof I'd arrest you but luckily for you I got nothing." Vincent Gordon said his eyes shining in anger. He wanted to rip Jason apart for what he said, and again Jason was expecting that.

"Remember the Tiger Fang gang? They were a decent sized gang in the Downtown area a couple decades ago. They only answered to Andrew Rossi back then. They got wiped out when my father was first taking over the city. There were no survivors they'd all been beaten to death with bare hands." Jason asked as Vincent Gordon's face fell.

"Why the hell are you bringing this up?" Vincent Gordon asked dangerously calm, but the look in his eyes showed his absolute rage at the topic being mentioned.

"You're father was one of the victims that day right? He was a member of Tiger Fang, and was killed that day. You saw it. You mentioned it in an interview before. That you were there the day your father died." Jason said as Vincent Gordon took a deep breath.

"Yes I was. I had been curious about how my father made so much money so I followed him, and found out. When that monster came I hid. I'll never forget the sight I saw. I never saw his face, but I saw his blood stained fist. I saw his huge figure, and his long black hair. If I'd seen his face I'd have found him and made him pay for what he'd done that day." Vincent Gordon said almost losing himself in the memories.

"Nephilim is the monster that wiped out the Tiger Fang gang. Mayor Piers is the one that killed your father." Jason said as the anger returned to Vincent Gordon's eyes and he stood up slamming his hands on his desk.

"Enough! You expect me to believe your word!? You're a good for nothing mercenary with no loyalty, and you expect me to believe your word without proof!? Norman Piers saved my life, and I won't let you keep badmouthing him. One more word about this stupid conspiracy and I'll have you locked up!" Vincent Gordon screamed at Jason. Jason simply stood up calmly and went to leave. He paused in the doorway and looked back at Vincent Gordon.

"I didn't expect you to believe me, but I want you to ask yourself something. Has Mayor Piers ever seemed to tell you to ignore something even if it's a possible crime especially a gang related one?" Jason said before leaving. He left the police station smirking. He'd done what he'd set out to do.

Vincent Gordon sat back down and actually did think about Jason's question. It was something that had been bothering him since it happened. When the Mayor's house was broken into he had claimed to have fought off the attacker, but that didn't sit well with Vincent. The wreckage of the Mayor's house made it seem like it was a fight where neither even tried running away. Vincent Gordon had seen plenty of robberies like what the Mayor claimed that one was. Most robbers are cowards and if the homeowner tries putting up a fight then the robber will run most of the time because they get nervous. However at the Mayor's it seemed more like 2 fighters had a match there instead of a burglar being fought off.

"Fuck me." Vincent Gordon quietly said to himself as he sat down at his desk. His mind was still reeling from what Jason had said and his own thoughts about the Mayor.
