Phantom

Jason left the police station, and decided to hope that the seed of doubt he planted would bloom sooner rather than later. He checked the time before smiling. He decided to go see someone he had been missing for almost a full month. Before long he found himself outside the Diamondhead Jewelry store. He walked inside and saw Hailey at the register. When she saw him her face lit up like a Christmas tree. He walked over wearing an all white hoodie with New Duivel university's mascot on the back, jeans, and sneakers. The university's mascot was a little demon.

"Hey guess who's free from training." Jason said as Hailey looked at him with a playful glint in her eyes.

"Eiji's coming back today?" Hailey said playfully as Jason gave her a look of mock offense.

"You hurt me." He said before they both broke out laughing.

"Seriously it's good to see you. You look good." Hailey said truthfully. Jason smiled still feeling incredible after his training. The pair chatted for a while and thankfully it wasn't too busy in the store so they could talk uninterrupted.

"Well what's this? You're supposed to be working Hailey, and you well I don't think you could afford anything in here so seriously, leave." A man's voice came from behind Jason. It was a familiar and obnoxious voice. Jason turned around and saw JD standing there his blonde hair was styled to look wavy and his green eyes were trained on Jason and Hailey.

"Still an obnoxious bastard I see." Jason said as JD walked towards the pair.

"Hailey I hope you remember what I said about giving you a promotion soon." JD said ignoring Jason. His eyes were now fully trained on Hailey, and the look in his eyes changed to one of lust. Hailey rolled her eyes and crossed her arms in front of her chest. Jason felt his stomach drop at the insinuation JD had made. It wasn't uncommon in New Duivel to hear about scandals, and some of the more common ones involve people sleeping their way up the corporate ladder. The others were mainly about bosses trying to or actually taking advantage of their employees. As JD neared the counter he put a hand on Jason's shoulder.

"Seriously get out of here. Who knows I might have a little meeting with Hailey later tonight." JD said smugly as Jason snapped. Too fast for anyone to see Jason had punched JD in the face knocking him back to the store entrance. JD fell back making the door open from his body being knocked into it. JD was unconscious after the blow his face contorted after the blow and his nose was leaking blood. JD was never a fighter let alone someone on Jason's level, but he had the balls to try that in front of Jason because Minato is backing him. JD was making Minato with money because of their fake jewelry racket, and because of it Minato protected JD. No normal person would dare do anything because of that.

"Goddamn. Not bad." A man's voice came from right outside the store. Minato walked into the store wearing a black dress shirt under a red suit jacket, red dress pants, and dress shoes.

"You got faster it looks like. These people probably didn't even see your arm move, but I'm different. I saw every movement." Minato said as JD got up holding his bloody nose and smirking at Jason.

"Now you fucked up. Minato is the best fighter in the city." JD said as Minato held a finger up to his lips shushing JD.

"Quiet now the real men are talking." Minato said condescendingly as Jason let out a quick laugh.

"But seriously you're Damian Crowe's son? That's so fucking unfair. You get to be the son of that god among men. Although from what I've seen and heard of you he'd be so disappointed in you. I should've been his son. At least I'd be closer to him than you are strength wise." Minato said as Jason started getting irritated. He didn't really care too much about Minato talking about his dad. After all Jason only learned about him recently, but one thing he refused to allow was people calling him weak.
