Author's POV:

While getting ready to leave, Reyansh was thinking if he should tell her everything or should pretend as if he forgot. His mind was filled with negative scenarios considering that this might be the last conversation they'll have if he tells her the truth. After a while, he came to the conclusion that he should pretend as if he forgot everything, which will lead to the end of the awkwardness that has arose between them.

Amaira reached the spot on time to see Reyansh already waiting for her. They gave each other a little smile and then settled in the parked car. None of them were saying a word, so to break the silence, Amaira decided to directly bring up the topic instead of talking about this or that.

She sat sideways, looking towards Reyansh. "Tell me, do you remember anything after you took the shot?" She interrogated him; his heart racing at high speed listening to her straightforward question.

As he decided to say no, his throat dried up; he couldn't form words; his heart was aching to tell her that he loved her, but he was not sure if she would reciprocate his feelings or not.

With a heavy heart, he said, "Yes, I do remember what I said." Hearing this, Amaira got happy; she thought her plan of confessing to him today would succeed, but before she could say anything, he continued.

"But Amaira, please forget it. I am sorry I was drunk at that time. I know you don't feel anything towards me, and it's okay; it's totally fine. I just don't want this friendship to be affected by any means. Please, Amaira, don't be angry or sad, please." His face turned pale while saying all this, but he was doing this to save the friendship.

Although he didn't do as he decided because he didn't want to lie to her, he still lied a little about his feelings and accepted that he remembered everything about the previous night.

Amaira remained silent hearing all this; she couldn't process anything further. Her eyes welled up with tears; she was trying to hold them back, but as soon as he completed his statement, tears left her eyes.

She was confused about what he really meant. If this is the real reply, then what about the words he said yesterday?

Without saying any further, she left the car without even looking back, and a lone tear escaped his eyes.

Reyansh sighed, looking at Amaira, but he couldn't do anything; he was feeling helpless. The connection he tried to mend was on the verge of breaking, or maybe it has already broken because of his words, is all he thought.

and the reyansh, who has never experienced heartbreak, cried for the first time—that too for a girl.

He immediately dialled Aayans number and told him everything, including the lie he said to Amaira, but Reyansh froze on the spot hearing the reply from Aayan.

Reyansh on call with Aayan

Reyansh: "Aayan yaar mei nahi bol paaya sach, I couldn't form any words in front of her. I did all this to save our friendship, but see, at the end, I am all alone even after trying"
("Aayan yaar i couldn't tell her the truth")

Aayan: "Reyanshhhh, what you did, why you lied to Amaira, do you even know why she came to meet you today, with what intentions she came today, do you even know what mess you have created?"

Reyansh sat there confused, hearing Aayans words.

Reyansh: "What do you mean? I know she came to ask me about yesterday, and what do you mean by her intentions? Aayan, please explain me. Help me, Aayan."

Flashback:

Coming out of Reyansh's house after his birthday party, Aayan, Manvi, and Amaira sat in Aayans car; he then dropped Manvi at her home and then speeded his car towards Amaira's home.

He parked his car, but throughout the ride he observed how silent Amaira was; neither she fought with him to play her favourite song nor she got involved in any conversation; she was lost somewhere; her gaze remained stilled outside the window.

Aayan called her name, but she was so lost in her thoughts that she did not respond. He came out of the car and knocked on the side of her door, which abruptly brought her back to the real world. He opened the door for her.

"Amaira," Aayan said, "Oh yes, we reached?" She said, looking here and there absent-mindedly, "Oh, then I'll go inside now," she said, picking up her bag.

"Wait, Amaira, is there something or someone bothering you?" He asked, getting straight to the point, "Uh, no, who will bother me and why?" she said as she darted her eyes away from him.

"Amaira, you know right, you can tell me anything; if anything is bothering you, if there is any problem anyone is causing, if there is anything that makes you lose your smile, tell me I'll look after him in a better way, you know right," Aayan said as his nose flared with anger as the thought of someone hurting her crossed her mind.

Amaira was not just a best friend to him; she was more like his sister, and he cannot tolerate anything that will hurt her.

"Aayan," Amaira said as her lips wobbled and her eyes filled with tears. "yes amaira? Tell me what happened. And these tears—why are you crying? Is there anything that happened at the birthday party?" He asked in one breath, and she told him the scene that took place earlier that night where Reyansh confessed.

"Aayan, I... i... loveee reyanshhhh..... and now that whatever happened today, I don't know what will be coming next on the way, Aayan. I am sorry I didn't tell you this before. I was afraid that you'll be angry hearing that I have feelings for your best friend,  but Aayan, I really, really do love him, and the fact is that I never felt this strong feeling for anyone before. Aayan,  will Reyansh accept me? Will he love me? Will he remember the conversation we had earlier this night by tomorrow?" She said as tears fell down her eyes.

Aayan, on the other hand, was shocked by the sudden revelation; seeing her this vulnerable for love was something very new for him. He cupped her cheeks as he made her look at him.

"Amaira Firstly, I am not at all angry on the fact that you love Reyansh, because love is a natural feeling, and who am I to stop you? I know he is a gentleman. I know you are a perfect woman, and there is no wrong with loving someone. Coming to the point of whatever happened today or whatever will happen tomorrow, leave it to the time and leave it to your fate. Overthinking will cause you problems, so instead of that, just go with the flow. And I am sure he too reciprocates the feelings, because the way he looks at you is the way he never looked at any girl. And I have noticed it a long time ago." Aayan comforted her; she nodded as she was now calmed down. They then talked for some time, and then they bid goodbye to each other.

Next Day before leaving to meet reyansh amaira called aayan after ending her call with manvi and told him her decision of confessing her feeling to reyansh.

Present Time:

Aayan: "SHE CAME TO CONFESS HER FEELINGS; SHE LOVES YOU REYANSH"
