The night after Taehyung’s breakdown left a heavy atmosphere in the Kim household. The brothers were shaken by what had happened, but it also deepened their resolve to protect and care for Taehyung. Despite their love and efforts, they realized just how deep his trauma ran, and they knew it would take time, patience, and understanding to help him heal.

The next morning, the brothers gathered in the living room, their expressions serious as they discussed the situation. Jin, who had been with Taehyung through the night, spoke first.

“I’ve never seen anyone so terrified,” Jin said quietly, his voice filled with sadness. “He was so convinced that we were going to hurt him. It was like he wasn’t even here… he was back in that horrible place.”

Jungkook, who had barely slept, clenched his fists, his heart aching for his Taetae hyungie. “How could anyone do that to him? He’s our lovely brother… He doesn’t deserve any of this.”

Yoongi, who rarely showed his emotions, had a dark look on his face. “Whoever hurt him like that will pay. But for now, we need to focus on helping Tae. We need to be patient, even if it takes a long time.”

Namjoon nodded in agreement. “We have to show him, every day, that he’s safe with us. We can’t let him feel like he’s a burden or that we might hurt him. He needs to know that he’s loved and wanted.”

Hoseok, who had been quietly listening, spoke up with determination in his voice. “I’ll make sure to keep things light around him. He needs joy in his life… something to remind him that there’s more to the world than pain.”

Jimin, who had been holding back tears, added, “We should also make sure he’s never alone. Someone should always be with him, especially when he’s scared or anxious.”

As the brothers discussed their plan, they all agreed to be extra gentle and supportive with Taehyung, understanding that even the smallest thing could trigger his trauma.

Later that day, Taehyung remained in his room, the events of the previous night still fresh in his mind. He felt embarrassed and ashamed for how he had acted, convinced that he had disappointed his brothers. He didn’t fully understand why they were being so kind to him, and the fear that they might eventually turn on him still gnawed at his thoughts.

However, as he sat in his room, he heard a soft knock on the door. It was Jungkook.

“hyung? Can I come in?” Jungkook’s voice was gentle, trying not to startle him.

Taehyung hesitated but eventually nodded, even though he was still afraid because of last night incident... So don't anyone get angry on him.
“Y-yes… sir…”

Jungkook entered the room, a tray of food in his hands. “I brought you something to eat. I thought you might be hungry.”

Taehyung’s stomach growled at the sight of the food, but he felt a wave of guilt. He wasn’t used to being fed regularly, and part of him still believed he didn’t deserve it.

“I… I’m sorry, sir… I didn’t mean to… cause trouble last night…” Taehyung whispered, his eyes downcast.

Jungkook set the tray down on the small table by Taehyung’s bed and sat beside him. “hyung, you don’t need to apologize. What happened wasn’t your fault. We’re just worried about you, and we want to help.”

Taehyung’s eyes filled with tears. “But… I’m scared… I don’t want to make you mad… I don’t want to be a burden…”

Jungkook reached out and gently took Taehyung’s hand. “You’re not a burden, hyung. You’re our brother, and we love you. No matter what happened in the past, you deserve to be happy and safe.”

Taehyung looked at Jungkook, searching his face for any sign of deception, but all he saw was love and sincerity. Still, the doubt lingered in his mind, the fear that this kindness wouldn’t last.

“W-what if… what if you change your mind? What if you get tired of me?” Taehyung asked, his voice trembling. Can't remove insecurity.

Jungkook’s grip on Taehyung’s hand tightened, and his voice was firm. “That’s never going to happen. I promise you, Tae, we’ll never hurt you. You’re safe with us, and we’re going to help you heal. You don’t have to be afraid anymore.”

Despite Jungkook’s reassuring words, Taehyung still felt the weight of his past holding him back. But there was a part of him, small but growing, that wanted to believe in Jungkook, in all of his brothers. It was a tiny spark of hope that maybe, just maybe, he could find a new beginning with them.

As they sat together, the silence between them was filled with unspoken emotions. Taehyung’s heart ached with the desire to trust, to finally let go of his fear. But it was a battle he would have to fight one day at a time, with the love and support of his brothers by his side.

Jungkook stayed with Taehyung until he fell asleep, his hand still holding his brother’s. He knew that the journey ahead would be long and difficult, but he was determined to walk it with Taehyung, no matter how hard it might be.
