Quarry quarrels

After the blizzard died down we deceived to make our way to the quarry, I  began firing up Percy to leave while Mrs Kyndley talked to Percy attempting to calm him down about what happened to Thomas.

Soon Percy was fired up and ready so John helped Mrs Kyndley into Percy's cab and we set off up the line, the snow had built up along the line and made it very hard to see, we were hoping Percy would lift his spirts when we saw Mavis and toby who were at the quarry when we left.

When we arrived it was terribly quiet, we were too used to the bustling of the quarry, a quick look around we realised why, the quarry workers were all dead, snow had fallen from the walls and crushed workmen.

As we began exploring the quarry and every time we saw a snow pile we had to push through, it was terrible for us and especially Percy, the reason was that almost every pile had dead people in and the sounds were terrible.

Eventually we made it to a opening in the snow, we looked around and saw something that would scar us for life, we saw something in the shed in Mavis' shed, it was Mavis... but she was something else.

She had ice spikes sticking out from her, her eyes had been pokes out by some and one large one was coming out her mouth, her entire cab was destroyed by 3 ice spikes, two were very large which mainly broke the cab the other one had her driver had been impaled by the first one.

At first we thought she was dead but we were wrong, as soon as we came closer she lunged at us, Percy immediately began reversing but because of the snow he was wheel slipping, we ducked down and closed our eyes.

Mavis rammed into us and we finally began reversing as we turned the corner we noticed the snow above the quarry began to shift Stephen immediately pulled the whistle and Percy let a long and loud whistle causing the snow to rumble and fall collapsing right onto Mavis.
