The next night. Akaza was up and ready for a mission his master had sent him, but a small problem. The small child that was waking up was in the way. Akaza had to decide between taking her with him or dumping her somewhere, but he couldn't do the second option. He sighed as y/n rubbed her eyes and yawned.
"Aza?" She muttered and looked at him. Akaza shook his head at the nickname. He wasn't gonna correct her this time. He walked over towards her and gently picked her up. Y/n tilted her head and looked at him with a questionable look.
"What's wrong?" She asked softly. Akaza started to walk out of the hut and head towards his mission.
"I'm going on a mission"
"Yayy. I get to see you in action" she threw a couple of fists and made a very cute, angry face. Akaza couldn't help but make a small smile.
"Yes, but I want you to hide and stay out of sight. Ok?" Y/n pouted and crossed her arms.
"Ok" Akaza shook his head as he kept on walking with Y/n in his arms. Akaza heard movement up ahead. He put Y/n down behind a rock. He bent down to her level as y/n looked at him.
"Stay here and keep quiet. I'll be back soon" He patted her head. Y/n giggled and watched as he walked away.

Y/n sat down next to the rock as she rocked her feet side to side. Koba poked his head out of his hiding place and looked up at y/n. He was questioning why y/n was listening to a demon. So instead, he jumped off her shoulder and decided to follow Akaza.
"No, Koba" Y/n followed Koba. Koba started to run down the path Akaza took. He didn't want to get caught, not yet at least.
"Koba, come back" y/n finally caught up to Koba and grabbed him. She put him back on her shoulder. She turned her attention ahead of her. Her eyes widened at the sight. Her firey favourite was battling her demon friend.

The two watched as the dancing light of the fire was aiming towards the demon. Y/n didn't know what to do. She looked around and saw a boy on the ground along with a boy wearing a hog mask. The boy with the grean and black haori noticed the girl, and his eyes widened.
"Y/N!!" Rengoku heard the loud shout. He pushed Akaza back with his sword and looked on what the shouting was about. Rengokus eyes widened to see Iguros little cutie.
"KAMADO AND HOG BOY. GET HER OUT OF HERE" He shouted to them. Akaza turned to see y/n shaking. His eyes widened to see her here. Watching both of them fight. Y/n was frozen in her spot as she was having a panic attack.

She was confused and scared. Tears started to come to her face. She held her head and closed her eyes. Arms wrapped around her small body.
"It's gonna be ok" Tanjiro spoke softly. Y/n held on to his uniform as her small body shook. Y/n peeked over Tanjiros's shoulder and watched the fight. Tanjiro noticed and hid her face in his shoulder.
"Everything is gonna be ok" he muttered to her. As the fight continued between the two. Rengoku was strong, but Akaza was stronger. Years of being a demon. Had its perks. Rengoku continued to fight for the ones that were watching and the young one that Iguro loved like a daughter.

With one last finally blow. The dust covered the two figures. Tanjiro and Inosuke were waiting for the dust to clear, but as it did. Their eyes widened, and Tanjiro kept Y/ns head in his shoulder.
"What's going on?" She asked softly.
"Nothing, don't worry" Tanjiro spoke out. The thing was. It wasn't nothing. Akaza had managed to punch a hole through Rengokus stomach.
"INOSUKE" Tanjiro shouted.
"RIGHT" he shouted back as the two charged towards the demon. Akaza frowned and noticed y/n still in Tanjiros' arms as he was going to attack him. Akaza didn't want to hurt the child, so he ran towards the forest as the sun was coming up as well.

Tanjiro shouted at the demon as y/n got out of his grasp. Y/ns eyes widened as tears came to her eyes. Rengoku smiled softly towards the little girl. As she went up to him.
"Mr Flame" she muttered and sat right in front of him. As Tanjiro sat behind her.
"Continue to be a strong and happy girl, can you do that?" Y/n sniffled as she nodded. Renogku turned his attention to Tanjiro. Y/n wasn't really listening until the one sentence that makes everyone's heart ache or break.
"Set your heart ablaze young ones" with that, with his final breath. A smile still remained on his face as everyone burster into tears. Y/n couldn't stop the tears along with the other teenagers. They all stayed in that spot for a while until the people that worked under the demon slayer corps. Took care of everything.

Letters were sent out to each Hashira about the flame Hashira. The news was devastating. Iguro stood on top of a roof. The mission was finished two days ago, and Kanroji went back to her home. Iguro decided to stay and keep watch for another couple of days. Once he heard the news of the flame Hashira. He was devastated, but he got another letter. It was from the butterfly mansion. His body froze in place, but he dropped the letter and dashed for the mansion. As the latter had said. It explained everything. How y/n had witnessed the passing of the flame Hashira.

Y/n was in bed at the mansion. Akio gave her extra treats like she did before, but the little girl couldn't eat. She wasn't hungry. The reason was of the events that had happened. Y/n stayed in her laying position as Koba was on the pillow beside her. The doors slammed opened and y/n jumped a little. She looked as tears came to her eyes.
"PAPA!"
