WALKER AND EVELYN HAD just arrived in front of their houses. Walker quickly thanked their driver and got out.

Evelyn did the same and followed after him. Evie grabbed Walkers hand just as he tried to cross the road.

"Walker please. Can we talk?"

Walker hesitated for a second, "Fine." He said. Walker started walking toward his house. The two carefully crossed the road.

They made into the house and quickly walked upstairs to his room, hoping not see any of their friends.

Evelyn took a deep breath, her hands fidgeting nervously. "Walker, I... I wanted to tell you about Michael, but I was scared. I didn't want you to think... I mean, it wasn't like that between us," she stammered, her words stumbling over each other.

Walker's expression hardened, his frustration evident. "So you were just going to keep it from me forever? How am I supposed to trust you if you hide things like this?"

Evelyn's eyes widened in panic, her heart sinking. "No, Walker, that's not what I meant! I just didn't know how to bring it up, I swear," she pleaded, her voice tinged with desperation.

Walker shook his head, his tone cold. "I thought we could talk about anything, V. But if you can't be honest with me, then what's the point?"

Evelyn felt tears welling up in her eyes, the weight of his disappointment crushing her.

"Walker, please, I didn't mean do you to find out this way. I just... I messed up, but I love you," she whispered, her voice cracking with emotion.

As Walker turned away, his silence echoing loudly in the room, Evelyn realized that her attempt to explain had only made things worse.

"Are you still going out with him?" Walker asked, his voice hard and distant.

"I can't just stand him up, Walker..." Evelyn said softly, her voice barely audible.

"Right," Walker replied, his tone dripping with sarcasm and hurt.

"But I swear, I'll tell him to back off. I don't want him, Walker! I want you, okay?" Evelyn stepped closer to him, her eyes pleading for him to understand.

Walker looked her in the eyes, his gaze searching for any sign of the truth. He wanted to believe her, he really did, but something inside him just wouldn't let go of the doubt.

"I think you should leave, Evelyn," he said, his voice cold and resolute.

"Walk—" Evelyn started, her voice breaking.

"I just— I need some time," he said softly, the pain evident in his eyes.

Evelyn bit the inside of her cheek, fighting back the tears. "Okay. Uhm... Goodnight, Walker," she whispered, her heart shattering as she turned to leave.

Evelyn stepped out of his room, quickly going down the stairs and back to her house. Evelyn made it in to her house, making her way to her room.

She opend the door and stepped in then shut it behind her. Evelyn leaned up against the dot covering her face in frustration as she let out a groan.

"How could I be ago stupid?!" She asked herself. "Well hello to you too." Evelyn heard a familiar voice say.

Evelyn let out a yelp. "What fuck?! What are you doing here?" Evie looked over at her bed and saw Leah sitting there.

"Well me and the rest of the girls, plus Dylan, we're going to wait for you here after your date! But their big backs got hungry so they to go get food, and I fell asleep so them bitches left me here. Why are you home so early?"

Evelyn walked over and layed on her bed. "Walker and me got in a fight." she said covering her face.

"What? Why?!"

"Because of stupid ass fucking Micheal!" Evelyn said. Leah rolled her eyes, "Ew, that bitch again? What'd he do now?"

"Me and Walker were having a perfect date! Everything was finally going well and then all of a sudden, Micheal come out of nowhere. And just as I was about to tell Walker about him asking me out."

Leah nodded, getting for the girl to go on, "And blah, blah, blah he kept yapping or whatever and obviously Walker go anyoned and told him to leave,"

"And as he's leaving he says 'see you tomorrow, lyn.'" Evelyn said, mocking his voice, "Then he fucking winked at me!"

Leah grimaced, "Gross!" Evelyn nodded in agreement. "What're you gonna do now?"

Evelyn sighed and sat up straight, "No idea." Leah pursed her lips for a moment. "Are you still going on that stupid hang out with him?"

Evelyn nodded. "Why don't you just stand him up? Or cancel on him? Just say you don't feel well."

"I would, but he's James son. He might tell him and that will probably put on his bad side."

Leah nodded, "Right..." Leah thought for a moment. After a few seconds, an idea popped into her head.

"Ooh! I have an idea!"

"What is it?" Evelyn asked, gesturing for the girl to go on. "Okay, so basically..."
