APRIL 22nd WALKERS POV,
I WAS SITTING IN MY TRAILER, practicing my lines for the next scene when i hear vigorous knocking at my door.
I looked up in confusion. "Hello? Walker, are you in there?" I heard a muffled voice say. I got up and opened the door to see a frantic Mai.
"Mai—what are you doing here? Is everything okay?" I asked, worry evident in my voice. Mai stepped into my trailer and took a seat, catching her breath.
"It's about Evelyn and Dylan—"
I cut her off, "I don't wanna talk about Evelyn and him," I said, rolling my eyes at the mention of Dylan's name.
"No, it's important!" Mai insisted. I took a seat across from her, curiosity piqued despite my reluctance.
"What is it?"
"Evelyn and Dylan aren't dating!"
My brows furrowed. "What?"
"Yeah! Lacey and him are!"
"Lacey and Evelyn?!" I echoed, confusion mounting.
Mai face-palmed and let out a loud groan. "No, dumbass! Him! Dylan and Lacey, you dumb bitch!"
Now I was even more confused. "Wait, so Dylan and Lacey are dating?" I asked.
Mai nodded. "So he's cheating on Evelyn? Oh, I'm gonna kill him—"
Mai covered her face with her hands in frustration. "Walker! How dumb can you be? Dylan and Lacey are dating! Not Evelyn and Dylan! Evelyn is single!"
My heart dropped. "What?!" I felt like I could throw up. "But—But what about when I saw Dylan asking Evelyn out? Explain that."
"Dylan was practicing!"
"What?"
"He was practicing how to ask out Lacey! It was just a big misunderstanding!" It all started to click.
"How do you know for sure?"
"Lacey told me. We were talking, then she mentioned something about her date and said that Dylan said he was so nervous he had to practice on someone. That someone was Evelyn!"
"Oh no." I said, getting up and starting to pace.
"Evelyn must think I'm a horrible person! I stood her up!" I said, burying my face in my hands.
"Oh my God. I made her cry." I let out a loud groan and face-palmed. "She must hate me."
"Look, it'll be fine." Mai got up and put a hand on my shoulder. "Just tell her that it was a misunderstanding. I'm sure she'll understand."
Walker shook his head. "You don't get it. She hates me! She barely talks to me off-set. She barely even looks at me, let alone in my direction!"
As Mai opened her mouth to say something, someone knocked on my door again.
I walked over to the door and opened it. I saw Evelyn standing there. My face turned red.
"Evelyn! H-Hi. What are you— Do you—"
"Katie said it's time to start filming." I opened my mouth to speak but she just walked away.
"Wow." Mai walked over to me. "She really does hate you, Scobell."
"What am I gonna do?" I turned around and asked her.
"I have a plan. But we're gonna need help."

ik it's a short chapter but i'm trying to stretch this act out as much as i can bc i don't want it to be like 5 chapters long😭
